Wilbur

I understand your frustration but there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Like stik said, 6 weeks is not bad specially coming from Europe. I bought some Flory Washes  from the U.K. and took about 5 weeks to get to my bench.

If you were dealing with Academy or Trumpeter you would have been SOL.

Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!

Of course there is another alternative----not buying any more ROG, and miss out on some great kits.  But then again that leaves more available for those of us who know that since humans are running things, mistakes can happen and we put it aside till the parts get here.

Been there, done that, and have several t-shirts to mark the occasion.

I sent Dragon an email last year requesting to BUY and new decal sheet. I didn't even a form letter back. No responce at all, not even a go to he-- as my father used to say.

Steve

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Don;

   You don't have to worry any more .The base mold goes way back to the original Space Shuttle Transport 747 with Shuttle . That , my friend was a while back don't you think ? My take on this is that  molds cost up to fifty , sixty thousand now .

   The same mold today probably is twice or thrice the amount .So , being a business , they shift it between divisions to amortize costs and license fees which are still required on any product bearing the Boeing name .

 Yeah , Hard to believe ain't it ? I don't worry though because a lot of buddies molds( Kit Parts )  wound up in my Vacu-Form for the future . Especially canopies for the big stuff .   T.B.

Again, second kit in a row from ROG with an unfixable major damaged part.  Hence the "Griping".

Hi Wilbur ;

 Now I get it .You know the only problem I have had with them so far is the Darned boxes .Why not a regular box , instead of the end opening pieces of crap they come in ?

   I cannot put up a kit when I walk away as easy that way .You know , I think RoG must think we all put them together in one sitting .

 The biggest problem with that type of box in you lose pieces easier . The malformed things you are dealing with can happen , but , it seems to be happening way to much lately .  T.B.

Wilbur--I don't blame you for being irritated. In my opinion, stuff like this shouldn't happen, not in today’s age. There is technology available that can detect defects like this before it gets packaged up and sent out. It's a matter of them making the investment for the sake of quality control and customer satisfaction. At the cost of models nowadays--I would expect more than this, and I'd be irritated too. I work in an industry where something like this would never be tolerated. The corrective actions that would follow this would be utterly painful. We have dropped vendors for issues like this and so do our customers. But--different industries, different demands.
Just my opinion.

I sent Trumpeter a resquest for details two years ago and got nothing. Revell Germany said it will be 6 weeks for the decal replacement to come. It was 5 weeks and 5 days. I like that Revell gives a realistic time while Trumpter gave nothing and devlivered nothing.
