I haven't been around much lately. Busy with Spring time chores, and what not. But I have managed to complete a build recently that has me thinking about how far I've come in this hobby thanks to all of the forum members here. I've learned so much over the course of just a few years. I went from using the dining room table, and a very limited amount of supplies to now having a desk full to the brim with tools and supplies, a home made paint booth, and a pile of kits in the corner that I'm happy to call my stash. From my first build, to the now over 40 of them neatly displayed in my living room. I've had a blast, and I've met a bunch of great people. This is by far the best group of people around. Nope, I'm not going anywhere, you guys are stuck with me, lol.
I want to show what everyone here is responsible for. When I first started this hobby I built a 1/144 C-17 Globemaster. It is horrible. I'm not kidding. I knew at this point I could do much better. So I decided to buy another kit, and build it again. The first one didn't even get a coat of paint. It was already grey plastic, why paint it grey?! That was my thinking back then.
I owe everyone a big huge thank you! If it wasn't for all of you I wouldn't of been able to do this. Thank you! I'm pretty embarrased with the first one.
New one.
Old one.
Just incase you don't think the old one looks that bad, the main seam.
What seam?
On display. I'm happy to see this one here, and I owe that to everyone on the forum!
Thank you for all the advice, tips, tricks, and support the past couple of years, I really appreciate it!
