OK, I'm done with the Yamato turret.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

I would join in,,,but it usually takes 12 days just to go through my stash to decide what I want to build....
Most of my friends are imaginary
Sell your watch, because time is money $$
In Canada hwy speed is measured by number of moose tracks per hockey goal.
only a couple of days to the start, folks.
Come and join in with the fun.
Hi there Modelcrazy
You can do the 12 days or go for the longer one of both. Anything goes this Christmas.
Could be a good way of getting all those "small quick builds" out of the stash and make some room!
SD I was going to do the 12 day with an old Hase 1/72 M3 Lee. I night see if I can throw in another for the other challange but we'll see what Santa brings first.
ikar01Hey Modelcrazy, did you ever finish your Akagi? I'm deffinately sure it came out better than the one I built for someone.
No, still in drydock. I work a little on her every night. Hoping to get her completed for the Nat's
This sounds interesting! Have to find something in the stash.
Never give up, never quit, never stop modelling.
Maybe we should ask the mods to move this to the Group Build forum?
The bigger the government, the smaller the citizen.
It is only 10/11 days to starting.
Who else would like to join in with the crimble fun?
I think that I am going to start with this:
and keep going....
I do have lots of "small" exterior etc 1/35 stuff which the longest bit is the painting. Lets see how far I can get!
I'm in the 30 day Challenge too with an artillery piece, but I haven't decided which one yet. Either British or American World War II vintage, I'm still looking.
Harold
Sounds like fun, I could use the extra days, for it seems eveything I tried to do this year went into slow motion and can't get finished. I promised to finish the remodeling of our home office over Christmas. I started it an April.
ikar01 A yummy Christmas Cinnamon Roll and hot Spiced Cider, hmmm. Do they make a model of these subjects?

I believe that Bandai has something in the works.....

Mortal as I am,I know that I am born for a day. But when I follow at my pleasure the serried multitude of the stars in their circular course, my feet no longer touch the Earth...
modelcrazy I think I'll jump in this year.
I think I'll jump in this year.
Welcome on board. You've got time to prepare and decide if you are going to do a 12 day build on which the normal challenge runs or do the longer run. Either way, Have fun.

goldhammer As someone from the far west side of the pond, we will overcome the covid problem and other issues, just like people all over the world, and move on. Been doing it since mankind has been around.

No,I have zero interest in taking part in this whatever your rules are.
You are the the one who bought in politics with your first observation and again with your last post. You make it sound as if the country is on the verge of destruction and the whole country is in flames, for being so bad here, there are an awful lot of people trying to get in to the country one way or another.
I'm out,before I hear from a moderator
It is NOT a group build as there is NO particular subject it is open to all scales AND subjects.
It is a challenge which normally only is for the 12 days of Christmas and the aim is to choose a model and finish it in 12 days. You can still do this if you wish to.
For this year only I have chosen, as it has been such a different and difficult year for most of the world, to just move the goalposts a little.
Without getting into politics, I am referring to all the riots and civil unrest in America and also the farce of a presidential election which quite frankly was an embarrasment.
So, Tojo72, If you wish to join in but stick to the original rules of 12 days starting December 26th (25th is for family) feel free to do so. If you have noticed the badge his no reference to viruses etc.
That goes for everyone. If you wish to stick to the 12 days you can do. as the "official" length is 33 days then if those doing it stick to the 12 days then two builds are possible. A chance, maybe to get those small and quick builds out of the stash and make room for some more.
