Great job. How did you do the water? Did you use an acrylic gel medium?
Steve
Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

I am for the most part an automotive modeler and have been for 50 years. It is work like this that has me hanging around FSM. I love to see the fantastic work some of you guys put out and this is a fine piece of work. I bow to you sir, that looks just wonderful. Your work is top of the line and be proud of your accomplishment. I appreciate work like this and truly enjoy seeing it. Smashing old Chap!
Nothing ever fits……..and when it does, its the wrong scale.
To make mistakes is human. To blame it on someone else shows management potential.
Terrific looking diorama

Great job on this. Like another has asked what is your secret for creating the water.
Great diorama, congratulations on a job extremely well done. Makes me want to get out my Das Boot DVD and watch that great movie again.
WOW!!!
Beautifully crafted scene, awesome work.
Yes to make the water i used Celluclay with white glue then painted it with cheap acrylics.
I did try to use a medium gel to get a water shine to it but that failed. So i used clear resin.
Thanks so much guys, glad you like it!
That is amazing work there all around!
Mike

I'm with artworks2,I'm getting a little seasick just looking at the photos.incredible job
Lets try again to reply.
So first i tried to use a gel meduim which didn't work well at all. So i went with a resin that i brushed
on. Also i used white oils for water streaks.
Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!
Very nice!
That is just amazingly, freaking cool!
The Celluclay water is just mindblowing!
Three cheers!!!!
Aw;
C'mon Skipper , we are getting wet out here !
i love what you have done here, with everything. Magnificent!
that is mind blowingly good lufttiger .
Wow, I LOVE this dio. The sense of movement and drama is top notch, and I don't even build ship models. Maybe I should start.
