You could make a whole battlefield in this size, like the tank battle of Patton vs Rommel in the desert, and it would be awesome!!! Do it! Do It, I say!!! And then sell it to the tankers museum!

I've been kicking around the idea for doing something like this with a bunch of lil' Tigers I bought years ago. I had my doubts that it was a viable project, but you've proven that it is! Thanks for the inspiration!

Man! that must have been hard makig those tiny tank, espesaly the flag, and I though that 1/72 was the smallest!

He's right. And I also noticed that one of the bolts on the lower left of the front of the turret on the first tank seems to have the wrong type of threads.

Wow that is incredible! Ever since Jeff's mini tiger in that one issue tiny models have fascinated me (my 1/72 planes are about as small as i usually go). But I believe you have an incorrect weld seam for this version, so sorry

. My guess for the brush is two chains of atoms crafted in the very same nanotechnology lab as those tanks.

whoops, you're right, I meant fingernail (smallest one). Even more incredible. That entire tank wouldn't even come up to the waist on my 1/35 figures, and I have trouble painting them with a steady hand!

That's incredible!!!! I knw 1/285 was small, but that picture is sotiny it almost looks photoshopped (fake) In that picture you have as much detail as some 1/35 dioramas, and each tank is the size of your fingerprint!1

Here's the only pic with a reference I had - my thumb!

The diorama base is a small photo frame, and I think that the inner measures is 5 x 3 cm (2 x 1.2 inches).

Wirraway: As soon as I get hold of a good microscope, I'll begin with the super detailing of the inner hull.

Just for a reference...could you post a quick shot with something next to it? Maybe a penny? or just with your hand in the picture so all nationalities can tell how large/small it is? Looks incredible though for the tiny size!

It doesn't get smaller than this. It nearly drove me crazy painting the dio. I'll never do it again, but it's kind of cute. It's set in the early days of july 1941.
