Winter T-34 vignette

Looks really nice, hard to tell it's not 1/35th.

Modeling clay probably isn't the best medium, as you have found out. Celluclay...or better yet, IMHO, Plaster of Paris over Styrofoam/plaster bandage is the way to go. My only worry are the tow cables, they are rather stiff in real life and they probably wouldn't bend 180 degrees in such a tight turn. Other than that....great visuals.

A very nice vignette with an equally nice T-34 kit. Love the whitewash finish as well, please tell us how you achieved the finish.

Now you tell me about the celluclay! I used the modeling clay because I had it on hand and was too lazy to go shopping to find celluclay.  The tow cables were annoying to work with.  The dragon kit actually has metal wire for it and it is hard to bend.  That is something good to know and remember for next time Kykeon, thanks.  This was the first Tank I ever built.  I am mainly a WW2 aircraft modeller.

For the Winter camo on the T-34 I first painted it a dark green.  I think I used Tamiya IJA green.  Then I sprayed a light coat of Gunze Off-white and then added a wash of first black then a dark brown.  I also dry-brushed some green and browns in areas of wear.  Not anything fancy just some of the basics.

One of the advantages of Celluclay is that you can "sink" the tracks into the snow, giving the vehicle the impression of "weight". Try that on the next one; it should be modelled that way on a muddy track.

I've used hemp fiber before for "grass"--I agree, it looks great!
