Diorama "The Tiger I"

I like the painting on the tank. Subdued but realistic.

My only suggestion concerns the placement of the diorama elements. Sandwiching the tank between the wall and the groundwork in front obscures the subject, i.e. the tank.

I would have made the groundwork in the foreground lower.

First, the panzerfaust went into service in the summer of 43. It's possible that some Tigers had not been repainted, but a dunklegelb base paint scheme would have been better.

I'm not sure what the story is here.  Why is a tank hunting team standing on a tank? The bigger question, though, is what is so fascinating on the inside of the hatch that the crouching guyt is staring at?

You beat me to it on the panzerfaust. Maybe go and take that guy out or replace if panzerfaust with a rifle.

There's a mirror on it. Like on a visor in a car. The guy is checking to see if there's something in his teeth.

I have several references of Tigers at Kursk and later still fitted with Feifel air cleaners. They were, however, in a base color of dunkelgelb.

Exactly. It would work much better if his head were repositioned so he's looking inside the tank, which could give one of two impressions: he's never seen the inside of a Tiger before or he's talking to the crew in there. If the head were tilted to one side, it might look like he was listening to what the crew was saying.

However, that would create another question...Why is the crew all inside the tank when the tank hunters are standing around on top of it?

Very good dio, the paint work and ground work are very good.

the guy must be talking with someone inside the tank.I think.

Manstein's revenge, this is not a Tamiya's Tiger, but Italeri. There will be another one soon and it will be painted not in grey but in dark yellow and green - the one used in Tunisia 1943)

Someone has already mentioned the Panzerfaust, but you also have a panzerschreck, which also didn't enter service until later in 1943, though not sure when. And the guy holding the Panzerfaust is wearing SS camo while the other guys are army.

I think the tank itself is great, unfortuntly seems to be another dio let down by bad research
