During May-June Art Instructor was quite busy because he started taking another job - as an art instructor in a school which was his old job, so he didn't build much. But now I think he's almost back on track and today I introduce a new page showing 6 pieces of armors & diorama built by him. We're sure to be around here for a long long time, you can rest assured!

Bodge, thanks for your kind comments!

Someone has already mentioned the Panzerfaust, but you also have a panzerschreck, which also didn't enter service until later in 1943, though not sure when. And the guy holding the Panzerfaust is wearing SS camo while the other guys are army.

I think the tank itself is great, unfortuntly seems to be another dio let down by bad research

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Many thanks for all kind comments, compliments and suggestions! I really appreciate them!

Cosmic J, I've told A.I. about your comments.

ajlafletche, what is the meaning of 'dunklegelb'?

Tankluver, this is supposed to be somewhere in Europe.

Kevleerey, Tnakluver and the doog, I like your ideas of explaining why the guy was looking there. The possibility is endless.

Manstein's revenge, this is not a Tamiya's Tiger, but Italeri. There will be another one soon and it will be painted not in grey but in dark yellow and green - the one used in Tunisia 1943)

madspainard, your comments is much appreciated as always!

Very good dio, the paint work and ground work are very good.

the guy must be talking with someone inside the tank.I think.

Great, I like it.

Another case of nicely rendered individual pieces being placed together to a point where they don't make sense: The Tiger I looks to be the Tamiya Afrika "early" version painted in dark grey...the tank hunters would have to date post 1943, when the Tiger being depicted would most likely have been out of service by that time or at least repainted in dark yellow...

Exactly. It would work much better if his head were repositioned so he's looking inside the tank, which could give one of two impressions: he's never seen the inside of a Tiger before or he's talking to the crew in there. If the head were tilted to one side, it might look like he was listening to what the crew was saying.

However, that would create another question...Why is the crew all inside the tank when the tank hunters are standing around on top of it?

There's a mirror on it. Like on a visor in a car. The guy is checking to see if there's something in his teeth.Big Smile [:D]

Wasn't the air filtration system on the rear deck removed when these tanks were in use in Europe?

I have several references of Tigers at Kursk and later still fitted with Feifel air cleaners. They were, however, in a base color of dunkelgelb.

I'm not sure what the story is here.  Why is a tank hunting team standing on a tank? The bigger question, though, is what is so fascinating on the inside of the hatch that the crouching guyt is staring at?

You beat me to it on the panzerfaust. Maybe go and take that guy out or replace if panzerfaust with a rifle.

I like the painting on the tank. Subdued but realistic.

My only suggestion concerns the placement of the diorama elements. Sandwiching the tank between the wall and the groundwork in front obscures the subject, i.e. the tank.

I would have made the groundwork in the foreground lower.
