Show your Revell/Monogram builds
Posted by stikpusher on Monday, January 10, 2011 4:53 PM

Ok, we seem to have several folks on here who feel, as I do, that the R/M kits get badmouthed on here too many times. But that they are great kits in the right hands- sort of like Conan's 'Riddle of Steel'. So I am gonna start this thread. Show off your Rvevell Monogram kits. All I ask is one kit per post. Otherwise, please feel free to bring your RM Air Forces (and Civil) to light here.

I'll start with the classic 1/48 P-51B

Next...Wink

And now that we have the P-51s available for all to see, how about my P-61 Black Widow?  People love to say this is a dog of a kit but I disagree.  It builds up real nice plus it is the only 48th scale opening.

My return to the hobby : a 1/48 MiG-29 from Monogram

I also have a Revell P-51B in the works that is shaping up to be quite a beauty!

This F86C is from the old Monogram kit that included it and a MiG-15.  Yes, I've built the MiG too, lol.  Later...

I only have one completed but no pics of it. I have two more in progress. I'll have to catch up with this thread once they are done.

Hi Pal...

I built this F-84F last year. I think the kit is from 1980-83, not certain but this kit had awesome detail OOB! Bought it on E-bay mainly because it had a bonus PE set...funny thing is I didn`t even use it. I have a bunch of built R/M kits but they`re all hanging and dusty. I`ll clean a few up and post `em.

Found this one in a forgotten photo album when I was cleaning out a closet a few weeks back.

1/48 SBD Dauntless. Probably build this when I was, oh, 9 or maybe 10. Suffice to say I've come a ways since then...

On the Bench: 1/32 Trumpeter P-47 | 1/32 Hasegawa Bf 109G | 1/144 Eduard MiG-21MF x2

On Deck:  1/350 HMS Dreadnought

I've built a fair number in my "early period" that have since moved on to the great plastic boneyard in the sky. I am however working on a P-38 right now & will add that when complete.

On the bench: Airfix 1/72 Wildcat; Airfix 1/72 Vampire T11; Airfix 1/72 Fouga Magister
