I'd like to I think there has only been one kit ever issued though. I'd do it in 1/144.

Chasing the ultimate build.

I was facinated by the aircraft in the Aviator movie myself.   I found a 1/200 scale Spruce Goose at the Melborne, Florida  IPMS show in May for $8.00.   It's a brand I never heard of, but it may be a reboxing or something of the Mini Craft.    It's a Anmark made in 1982, that remains in my stash for now.

Now I am looking for the other two kits Hughes flew in the movie,  the Hughes Racer and the unknown sea plane he flew to the party. The only Racer kit I found so far was a balsa wood model which doesn't appeal to me.

Does anyone know if the Racer was ever made into a plastic kit?

Does anyone know what the seaplane was in the movie  and if it's available in a kit ?

Some years back a guy was doing a monster vacuform version.  But he kinda disappeared.  Dunno what happened but he was doing a god job of it.  Too bad, would like to have seen that one finished.
