Mongoose,

I'll put you down. I heard that kit a bit of a challenge. I actually was thinking of getting one of those to try myself. I love Mustangs.

Also follow this link to the new forum thread Mustang Build

See you over there.

Ok, right after I saw this I ran across a P-51 Twin Mustang on eBay for $8 so I have to do one now! I will build the F-82B TWIN MUSTANG by MODELCRAFT in 1/48 scale! I even learned they changed the designation to F-82, never knew that. This will be unique for me and a lot of fun. Can't wait to see everyone else's!

In the pattern: Scale Shipyard's 1/48 Balao Class Sub! leaning out the list...NOT! Ha, added to it again - Viper MkVii, 1/32 THUD & F-15J plus a weekend madness build!

" Anything with the moniker of “Mustang” "    Would you would not accept an A-36 Apache?

Ah yes, the A-36 Apache or Invader, dive bomber. The grandfather of the Mustang. Well of course my friend, I'll accept that as an entry.
It's the spirit of the "Mustang" I'm looking for here. Some guys are building Ford Mustang funny cars, they aren't really Mustangs anymore, just a fiberglass body that looks something like a mustang. Nothing original remains under that fiberglass.

Do you want me to put you down?

Also the thread has moved to here. Mustang Build.

" Anything with the moniker of “Mustang” "    Would you would not accept an A-36 Apache?  I would guess not... But I found an AM 1/48 on CraigsList for $5 still sealed. If it's still available, I thought about picking it up

That looks like it's going to be a really cool build Goldhammer. I am really going to enjoy watching it come together. Miss America is one of my favorite racers. That and Rare Bear.

Well here she is-  Got all the parts for the "K", but not the decals.  The little bags in the last pic are metal prop blades and the metal ends for the wing clip.

Steve, I'm officially in now:

I've done a few of these in the past and it's a solid, trustworthy build. With my 'planned' paint scheme, she'll be a short build. I should get to this sunday, IF I get that beast of a Hind done!!

Put me down for a Tamiya 1/32. I'm leaning towards Passion Wagon. Should be fun.

Do we have a page set up in the GB section yet?

Cody and I will start one up Saturday night.

I'll take the front page with the rules and roster, Cody is handling the second page with the completed Wall of Fame pics.

2 things in this world you will never forget the sound of once you have heard them....The sound of a 12 ga. pump shotgun being racked and Rolls Royce Merlin at full song.

Check this vid out.

Rob S.
gonna keep an eye out for something Boeing.

Rob, It won't be hard. Take a look at this website.

Boeing Planes

And that is just a sample. The rules will be any Boeing related/partnered company's i.e. General Dynamics, Bell, Raytheon,  Lockheed Martin, McDonnell Douglas and the list goes on.

Boeing Partner Companies

Wayne is even going to build a JGSDF PATRIOT 3. The field is wide open. I suppose one could even build a BMW since they are a partner as well.

Heading to my lhs on Sat morn. Gonna pick up a P-51B and get that started. I will also prowl the aisles for an 'automotive' Mustang. It really has to pop for me to get one, something unusual. We'll see. Also, gonna keep an eye out for something Boeing.

Jelliott523 - I have a set of the Bee decals in 1/32 if you want them.  They were included in the Top Drawings book on the P-51.  I don't build 1/32 so you can have them if you want them.  PM me your address and I will send them out.

Steve

Steve, that would be fantastic!  I could definitely use them.  I was bidding on a kit that had them and I lost the bidding war.  I can always pick up another 1/32 mustang.

I've sent you a PM.

On the Bench:  Lots of unfinished projects!  Smile

Anyway, for those of you that will be starting soon, I thought you'd be interested in this site:

Dedicated to Mustangs.  Both the wheeled and flying type.

I just had a chance to take a look at it. That's a really nice site, very informative.
