The idea is to keep the cockpit open on the left side:
That's looking really nice, I do like the look of those RB seatbelts, though they look a little more complicated than the HGW ones.

Progress on the cockpit..
Seatbelts arrived!
I'm so not gonna like this job...
Compared to the finished Tiffy (see http://cs.finescale.com/fsm/modeling_subjects/f/2/t/167141.aspx for more pictures of the finished Tiffy)
this spitfire cockpit looks quite empty. It will need lots of scratch built additions.
Your doing a great job, everything looks awesome and real.

She's coming along nicely! I partially built the ancient 1/32nd Hasegawa Spit years ago- this one must be huge, though of course not as large as your 1/24th Typhoon!
Nice start and ty for the interesting walk-through. I will be following this one for sure.
Nice start on this.
I recently picked up the old 24th Ju 87 after seeing one built on here. I guess it is of a similar standard to your Spit. I have a couple of those Airscale sets to use, so will be keen to see how those come out.
Like Spruce said, shes an old kit. But she does build up into a nice kit and fun kit!
