Eduard 1/48 Bf-109E1 Weekend Edition
Posted by Plastic_Aviator on Saturday, August 29, 2015 5:32 AM

Hello gentlemen!

This kit was built several months ago but I fintally got around to taking better pictures of it. This was my first Eduard build and I had a blast. The kit molds were really nice, clean and had almost zero flash. The only downside was that being a "Weekend Edition" kit, it didnt come with a complete set of decals or all the other fancy stuff the pro-kits come with, just contained basic markings. I decided to take it easy on the weathering as I usually love to exagerate effects. I was pleased with the outcome. Smile

Anyway, Just thought I'd share. Hope you like it!

Very nice 109, great fuselage mottling that blends softly. You're going to upset the "rivet counters" though by adding that drop tank! Big Smile

Now that's a beauty. Outstanding paint work.

One of the hardest colors to paint, "Yellow".  You did a fantastic job on the paint scheme.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your first Eduard kit.

You did an outstanding job and I too applaud your mottling (among lots of other things)

Lol thank you, they'll be glad to know that it's not actually attached. It's being held on by putty I use for camo schemes

Thank you all for the wonderful comments! I'll definitely be building some more of the Eduard kits in the near future. ☺

Very nice indeed!  The camouflage mottle is subtle and well executed and the weathering is "just enough"!  Well done.

That's a lovely looking build, really great finish on the camo. I do like that nose marking.
