Tosh:

You've come a long way since your first model about a year ago and have watched your progression. Wish you good health in the next year and that you have a wonderful assistant.

I'll be watching this one, the Stuka is one of my favorites.

Here is where I'll stop today.  The work done was inspirational at best due to such details Trumpeter provides.  I will definately leave certain panels open to show off the detail of the Stuka engine.  Thank you forum members for your Support, read, and replies.  It means so very much to me and has helped me grow not only in this hobby but spiritually as well.  I've learned to love what I do, love myself, and love everyone.  Life is good, it's short so I make the best of it.

One thing I really like about following your builds, Toshi, is how fast they go! No waiting around for weeks at a time like some of us. Confused That engine looks great.

Always loved the Stuka for same reasons mentioned... sinister appearance and history. I will have to add one or two to my stash, and I think I can do so while sticking to my Finnish front focus. The Germans operated them from Finnish airfields for much of the war.

Man Toshi, you were not kidding when you were going to start a 1/32 Stuka "soon".  And that was last week with we were talking on the Kingfisher thread.  Its Monday and your knee deep into a very complex looking kit.

All I got done was airbrushing the underside of a 1/72 B17Embarrassed

On your engine, did you hand paint it after primer or spray it?  And for the weather, is that paint or weathering pigments?

Yes, the Stuka is intimidating, I'm sure with the sirens attached to the Stuka, it made it that much more terrifying during dive bomb scenarios. As for my builds, I just do a little at a time as I have much time on my hands being retired.  LOL!  Thanks for the visit.

LOL!  I try to do my best, it does not always happen that way.  Look what happened to my BF 109, that took me two weeks to fix.  LOL!  As for the Stuka engine Jumo 211:

1) Primer with Rusroleum flat gray MAXX Cover.

2) AB Vallejo gun metal gray 70.863.  It looks more black than gray.  I noticed a lot of modelers use black as their base for the engines.  I chose this particular color due to the fact that there's tiny or just a hint of mettalic pigment to bring out the details as oppose to just black.  At the very least, I really like it.

3) With a brush, I'll hand paint according to the assembly manual to what color each part is suppose to be to the best of my abilities.

4) I hand brush Tamiya Weathering Pigments onto specific areas of the engine black or soot, engine mounts, oil covers, and especially where the exhaust ports are.

5) I'll go back and touch up what I missed.

Thanks for the visit!

Toshi

Note: I use Tamiya Weathering Pigment kit B and C, of which I utilize, soot, rust, orange rust, gun metal, and silver.

Thank you sir!  I think Trumpeter makes some great 1:32 kits on the market.  Personally, in my humble opinion of course.  As for fun?  I'm having a blast with the Stuka build.  The more complicated, the more fun it is.  Thanks for the visit!

You may already have plans for these, but just in case. The oil cooler on top, paint that steel. And the support braces and rear bulkhead, RLM 02. Apart from anything else, that will add some extra colour.

Words of wisdom, Bish, and good advice for any build, imho. But see, I thought that dinner time would have been taking his time. Now, lunchtime would have been rushing it, hehe!
