Very, very nice.  I like the mesuem look to it.

I saw back a couple of pages that you saw the Alclad line.......that means trouble for the rest of us as a natural metal finish (NMF) is not to far in the future......Big Smile

Thank you sir.  I'm curious as to the Alclad MNF.  Maybe on my next visit I'll pick some up.

Hey Toshi she turned out great! You even did a great job on that cursed, vile, difficult, colour yellow which I hate more than any other... Ick!  And the canopy looks perfect.

One little tiny nitpick though, are you painting the engine exhaust pipes? They look sorta odd in the same yellow as the cowling. All you need is a little rusty brown paint and a small brush- shouldn't take more than three or four minutes. Yes

Ah, I missed that!  Thanks for pointing that out.  I'll paint that today.

As I was preparing to weather the Stuka, Mrs. Toshi took a look at it and said to leave it without weathering.  It's the first time she had ever added any input to the actual build.  Usually she'll let me do what I want with it.

Since this was her first ever input, you'll see the Stuka completed as is.  In all honesty, I really like the "Museum" look to it.  I think it's pretty cool.  I guess that's what we men call "Woman's Intuition".

Lovely looking finish Toshi. I love a nice Stuka and you have done the old girl proud. G has you covered on the exhausts, and the rest looks just fine.

And it was a good move leaving the wing racks empty given the big boy you have underneath.

Yes, a mistake on my part that I'm correcting as I type this.  Thanks to you I was able to make that decision in regards to the ordinance.  Thanks again Bish for all your help on this build, your guidance was priceless!

I agree with Mrs. Toshi, some models just need to stay in their Sunday best.  This one deserves to stay as it is.  You did a fantastic job on this kit Toshi.  Scott

Thank you ScottRC.  Usually, Mrs. Toshi's input in my models would be what model kit to build next.  We would both pic and choose until we narrow it down to one.  This is the first time she has requested that the model kit be finished or built in such a way.  I hope she continues with her input into my projects.  Thank you for your support!

Outstanding Stuka Toshi.

Thanks lawdog114, this build had lots of mistakes but I pulled through.  There were several mental errors, more so on this build.  I am happy with the final product!  Thanks for the visit.

I get my inspirations from my fellow forum members like yourself.  Currently my new WIP is a Focke Wolfe Fw-190 F-8.  The Stuka canopy did have issues to deal with it was difficult at best!  Thanks for the visit!

Congrats on your first Stuka, Toshi. You did her proud, sir.

2 comments and a question just for fun....

*Good job following Mrs. Toshi's idea about no weathering. Does it look good that way? Yep. Does it matter that it looks good that way? Nope. Smile

*Do I have the HobbyTownUSA bit straight? You have a well-stocked HobbyTown 40 minutes from your house and this is the first you knew of it???? Do I read that Mrs Toshi found it and surprised you by going there??? If so, holy cow. If not, holy cow anyway, no wonder you were excited! I'll never forget my first visit to one a couple years back, which happened to be a very well-stocked one like yours. I was like a kid in a candy store. Pity it is a couple thousand miles away. Crying

*Good move waiting for the Eduard masks. Hand trouble or not. Scratch-masking a Stuka canopy because I can would not be my idea of fun.

Again, nice looking Stuka, Toshi!
