Another 1/72 Eduard FW-190 (finished)

Very detailed job considering it's in 1:72.  what a great job!

Builds up real nice! My only real complaint is the the landing gear attachment point is tiny, and makes for a PITA. The other PITA area is with the gear bay parts...it takes a bit of trimming/testing to get the part ("dimpled" piece, where the wheels would be when retracted) to sit right. If it's not exact, the wing/fuse joint won't be either.

They're Tamiya tape and paint. I cut the buckles off the PE straps and used them though.

I do not care for the rigid look of PE belts, so I almost always use tape (and the PE buckles)...you can twist and bend it, for a more natural look. I use tiny dabs of CA as I make bends/twists.

I have this one in the stash.   Looking forward to seeing the final results!

I've never asked. Are you using enamels or acrylics? Nice job with the paint in any case.

All I ever use is MM enamels. (lacquers for clear coats though)

BTW...hope all is well/better/getting better on the homefront.

I figured about the enamels. I like acrylics but they do clog up the airbrush alot.

I've never used acrylics and have no plans to do so.

I've taken a break, while airbrushing...gotten sidetracked and lost over an hour. Totally forgot I had paint in the airbrush...got back to it, stirred up the paint in the cup and continued spraying...no issues!

LOL. I've covered the shortcoming. I've got two Badger 150's hooked up to Quick Disconnects. If one gets clogged....I switch over. I've got too much love for being able to get by with airbrushing inside the house. lol

Cars....now that's a different story.

This is Michigan, muh man! I do not paint outside!

Paint booth in basement, vented outside.

Man I do love the cold weather. Wished I could be in it all the time.

Decals are done.

The checker nose decal came up just a touch short...will have to touch up with paint, as well as paint the top/center checker...decal folded and tore.
