Definately! I'm interested in a WIP. I've had my eye on this kit since it was released.

Yeah, I'd like to see a WIP. I don't know anything about the kit, but the new Airfix are pretty good.

Might take me a while though, I have an interview with an airline to fly either the 747 or 767 so that's my priority, and if they give me a class date for sooner than hopefully later I'll have to shelf this until I'm done with training. Hope you'll understand 

I have to have some way to pay the $160 price tag for the Airfix 1/24 Mosquitio. I also have my eye on their 1/72 Lancaster, the moldings are gorgeous when I opened the box 

I'm actually working on my 2nd one of these kits. This time I will be opening up the gun bays, just need to get a small saw to make my life easier. All around it's a very nice kit without much trouble. I needed a little putty the first time around where the front of the wing assembly meets the bottom of the fuselage but that may have been my fault The cockpit is pretty sparse and I've been trying my hand at scratchbuilding.

Ever since I was a kid (12 or 13 years old) after having read "Reach for the Sky" I've been interested in Hurricanes.

I have it at the end of the week, so in between studing and more studying, I do a little modeling to help me relax and let everything sink in..... I should have an answer for you next week :D Classes next month are for the 747 so, fingers crossed. I better hurry up and get these built.

That is so awesome!! To fly a 747 was a dream of mine since being a kid, unfortunately I never got past the Cessna 182RG.

Did I read a post from you some years back that your father used to fly 747's?

Yes he is, in the airliner section I'm building a 747-400 (along with 2 767-300s), his birthday is in October and he is a new captain on the whale, so I have a lot to do. Thanks for your kind words, I hope to get them done. I can come back to these at the end of the week, after the interview is over and I hopefully will have the job.

I really, really enjoyed building this kit. The only spot to watch out for is the wing-to-lower fuselage joints. Mine had a step in it that had to be corrected. No big deal, but more test fitting and I probably could have found a way to make it seamless.

I had my job interview with that airline and am now waiting for the yes or no, but according to my friends, they think it went well, I think so too. Nothing spectacular but not bad enough to NOT get the job, fingers crossed. Waiting is worse than the actual interview, I'm feeling pretty stressed and nervous waiting. While I'm waiting, I finished the assembly of the cockpit area and wing spars, it was painted Tamiya Aluminum from a spray can and the framing RAF interior green. I tried to do the hairspray technique but I flooded the areas with so much hairspray that the green is coming off. Might strip everything and retry.....

Very detailed for a 1/48. That is something I figured you would see in a 1/32.
