Well dispite all the issues you had it turned out great!  I felt that way about the F-16 Thunderbird I did.  It was trouble from the start, I'm sure it was just me though.  Wasn't any problems with the kit itself until I got to the decals. 

Looks pretty darn good from where I sit. I've always used tamiya masking tape for canopies and other masking needs. I've tried liquid masks and didn't really like them. Pit work looks good. Nice job!

The final product far outweighs all the tribulations,one fine bird. Love the paint job.

The end result is, in spite of the trials and tribulations, your 110 came out beautifully. I guess that's the price we hafta pay for beiing modelers. i have trouble on different parts of almost every model I build and it drives me nuts .

Wow! You fought through all those setbacks and ended up with that. My hat's off to you for some darn fine modeling skills. Great Looking 110.

Wow, after your description of what went wrong at the top I was expecting the model to look horrible! That's some nice work man! I don't see any issues with her in the photos and you did a great job on the ink blot camo which can be a pain if the airbrush/paint doesn't want to cooperate.

You always have an idea in your head what you want it to look like and this was far from what I envisioned.  Oh yeah I forgot I broke one of the wheel struts as well.  I normally use tamiya tape for canopies as well but with the amount of framework on this one I decided to splurge.  Guess I shoudn't have.

Trails and tribulations, you did a fantastic job!  I'd be proud to have that in my display.

As for Montex masks, no.  I've never had issues with them at all.

Thanks for the info Toshi.  I have used Eduard masks in the past with no troubles but I couldn't find one for this kit.. I checked I have one more montex mask and its for the 1/48 Tamiya Lancaster bomber

You know it's one of those inherent qualities of all the old Revell aircraft kits that it has to be as ill fitting and sometimes no fitting as possible. I built the Revell 1/48 Corsair a couple of years ago and this thing took two dives into the trash can..............and I rescued it twice and went ahead and finished it after 3 months of pure hell. The end result wasn't too bad but it wasn't without alot of hard work and lots of frustration. I don't plan on ever building another old Revell mold kit.

 I will say that your 110 turned out beautiful despite your troubles. Way to go Greatmaker.

Thanks mustang! Despite the trials I may double down and build the Revile (misspelled on purpose) P-38J. From what I've read a stinker of a kit and also in a NMF,  I think alcohol will need to be involved

I do think it's back available in the Academy boxing now as well
