Excellent. And I thought it was 1/48th, honestly.

Yes, a very beautiful job.  I too thought it was 1/48.

That picture with your fingers in it put this into perspective. WOW.

This could easily pass for 1/48. EASILY.

Very, very nicely done, Fermis!! That is an excellent finish!!

This is 48th scale...isn't it?

Magnificent finish. You've done a beautiful job on it.

Thanks for your perspective on the italeri kit. I appreciate it.

Thank you!Toast

Here's some more perspective (this was taken more to show the size of the Harrier...not really all THAT big! But it does show the size of this A-10 real well)

That is downright impressive. love what you have done on your A-10. It really is an excellent subject and you have done it justice.

It is funny that I was just directed to your A-10. Just last night I was looking for a 1/72 A-10 and was researching what folks considered the nicest kit. It seemed that the verdict was that the Academy kit seemed to be quite a nice kit. Given that, I am curious as to your take on this Italeri kit. Overall engineering and accuracy? I already bought the Academy kit on ebay for quite a bargain but, I'm still open to opinion. Thanks Fermis.

Thank you very much!

As far as which is best, I can't comment...I've only done one other 1/72 A-10 and that was YEARS ago (Revell, maybe???). I have the HobbyBoss two seater in the stash...it certainly looks "issued", and very basic. This one, as far as the build goes, it's pretty typical Italeri...not great, not bad. I don't have any real complaints about it.

Very nice!

I always giggle when I see AIM-9s for the A-10. I know why they are there but can you imagine the A-10 in a dog fight? I mean if someone was shot down by an A-10, the should fly paper airplanes.

I do like the toned down version with the tan.  Not as; "Stark" as you mentioned.  I am very excited to see the final reveal on your A-10!

Dude this is just too cool of a build. I love these ol' A-10's and this one looks fantastic so far. I'm looking forward to the completed pics of this thing. Yes

Thanks guys!Toast

The worst is over...finally!

Overall, I was not all too pleased with the dark green color...it all just looked...Hmm...too stark??? I added a touch of tan to the dull coat, toned that green down a bit...much happier now!

How did I miss this? I love A-10's.

Did you start this on Oct 18 or is that just when you started the thread?

Very nice, and if my nose gun comes out 1/4 as well, I'll be happy (I'm guessing I'll give up and use kit plastic version when the time comes). Cheers for your perserverance, it looks great.

Hmm. That's the logo for the third squadron of the AVG. And that looks like its 1/48 scale. Judging by the size of the tweezers.

Same decal that's on the Monovell P-40B.

Not sure what you can do about that.

Otherwise, it all looks wonderful!  :)

My first thought went to Airfix's P-40...but the decal on that one is a standing/walking figure. Size/scale would be just right though.

Embarrassed I figured you'd just hand-paint it...

I hate ordinance too. One reason I stick to mostly gunfighters. That's looking sweet Fermis.
