1/72 Hasegawa Kate
Posted by modelcrazy on Saturday, June 10, 2017 12:03 AM
I completed the Hasegawa 1/72 B6N2 Kate AI-301 from the Akagi with a 6 bomb load out. Not a bad little kit for an older mold. There was some flash that needed to be removed and I used the bombs and tail gun from the Airfix Kate. The base is the 1/72 Japanese Carrier base form Coastal kits.

Very well done.  How did you achieve the peeled paint? It's very convincing.

Beautiful Steve. That is amazing looking. Your paint skill is nothing short of impressive on these kits.

Lawdog, Damian, Jay Jay, TJ, Toshi, Don and BK thank you very much.

Lawdog, the base is Alclad White Aluminum with AK Interactive Worn Effects acrylic chipping fluid applied over it. I then applied IJN Green acrylic over the areas where the chipping was less serve and used a wetted brush to chip those areas.
