This is my first aircraft model ever and it is the first time I used an airbrush. I’m really surprised how great it all worked out!!!
I made my own version with invasion stripes and a mix of different decals. There was no plane named Big Beautiful doll with invasion stripes and this number combination.
Here are a few pictures of the build and the finished model at the end.
1
1. I first painted the interior parts in chromate yellow which was a mix of Revell enamel paint “yellow 15 (70%)” and “zinc chromate 361 SM(30%)”
2
2. Then I painted the interior and details with mate black
3
3. Sadly no decall for the instrument panel... :(
4
4. put everything together.
5
5. Painted the gunbay
6
6. Removed all the seaming lines. I also used a really cheap primer which I really regret, it came off when masking certain areas...
7
7. Painted the model with gloss black.
8
8. Then I used AK interactive Xtreme metal polished aluminium 481.
I don’t know if it was the primer that I used or the AK interactive paint but one of them was horrible...
their videos on YouTube are a bit of a scam because they claim to be resistent to Terpentine and al sort of masking tape... that is defenitly not true!!!
and their polished aluminium doesn’t have the shine they claim to have.
but on the other side I’m happy with the end result and it may be my fault... I don’t know
easy to apply but don’t get your airbrush to close to the model, when you put to much paint on the same spot you‘ll mess up your model.

9. added the invasion stripes. Before I could use any type of masking tape I had to put it on my hands 3 times, removing most of the adhesive material so it wouldn’t pull off the paint.
10
10. Invasion stripes done. now it was time to apply my decals. I bought lifelike decals on ebay because the original Revell decals fall apart when I put them in the water...
after all I’m really happy with the lifelike decalls. They add a lot of extra detail to the model

After all I really enjoyed building my first aircraft model and I will be building many more after this one.
I still have a spitfire (1/72), p-47N (1/48), B-17G(1/48) and a F4U corsair (1/72) waiting to be build.
so many more finished model uploads coming.
Building models is one thing I like but uploading and sharing my work here is also really great!
Sorry for my bad English or bad grammar. But I have to say that uploading my work here is better for my english then what they teach me in school... ;)
I really like all to hear any advice from you guys or experience you had with this model.
