Just in from jolly olde England (Hannants), is a conversion kit from Cut then Add (CtA), which turns a stock B-767-200 into an AWACS operated by the Japan Air Self Defense Force. The set is very complete, with resin parts for the all-important rotodome, its support struts, various sundry detail bits, and a decal sheet.
The recommened base kit is Zvezda's 1/144 B-767-300, which requires shortening to the -200 configuration. The nice color instructions clearly show how to do this, plus gives color/marking information.
1/144 aircraft are not my usual fare, but I took a fancy to the E-767 after seeing it in a book. I figured there never would be a kit of the type, but never say never in the 21st century!
Now to wait for the B-767 to arrive...
