Thank you my friend! Ive posted the final pictures twice now and the post just disappears into thin air. I will repost again tomorrow in hopes that they get whatever technical issues they're having taken care of.

At the plate: 1/48 Airfix Bf109 & 1/35 Tamiya Famo
On deck: Who knows!
So, for some reason I can't see the last posts and the completed pics, so thank you Chad for sending them to me.
WOW you knocked it out of the park my friend Just an outstanding job.
I hope the site starts to allow me to see all of it.
Steve
Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

So I did a little digging. It looks like the A series did have metal propellers, while the F series and the D series had wooden blades with counterweights. That explains why the blades are so much fatter. However, it looks like wooden props could be used at the pilots request if it helped increase the center of gravity.
Ye, i know that feeling.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so
On the bench: Airfix 1/72nd Harrier GR.3/Fujimi 1/72nd Ju 87D-3
Yeah I definitely overdid that. They did have a aluminum strip along the leading edge to prevent wear but I definitely shouldn't have put it along the back edge of each blade. I guess I got a little excited and put too much overall!
That is some lovely work there Chad, coming on superbly.
Just one minor point for future referance. the prop blades are wood not metal.
Thanks guys! I really appreciate it!
Wow, that looks fantastic. The chipping along the panel edges is excellent. Lovin' it!!

2024 Kits on deck / in process / completed

Wow, that is looking good!
Looks fantastic Chad
Here's a sneak peek at the latest progress. Today was paint chipping. I use Vallejo German Black/Brown for the RLM 76 areas. Tomorrow I'll apply aluminum chipping to the darker areas of RLM 74 & 75. I use a tiny brush and stipple the paint to the degree of weathering that feels right.
Steve, I've fallen in love with these Hasegawa 190's!
I'm glad I was able to pass that kit onto you Chad. You're doing it far more justice than I could.
Thanks guys! Glad to have you aboard.
lawdog114 Beautiful. That prop is spectacular. I'll be following...

"Can you fly this plane and land it?...Surely you can't be serious....I am serious, and don't call me Shirley"
Gear, engine, and prop are done and abundantly weathered. The theme for this 190 is "well used"! Hasegawa chose to mould their oleos fully extended so the 190 will stand a bit too tall. Next step is painting the fuselage.
Off to a great start Chad! Eagerly awaiting the next update!
Well this will be cool, you're off to a great start.
Thank you my friend!
Looking good so far.
Now i know the series you mean, i have a dozen or so of those but not that one. Will have to get that one.
Thanks Johnny. Seems to be the same basic build sequence and quality as the Tamiya kits.
Hi Bish, here's the book I'm referring to..
Very nice start Chad, look forward to seeing more.
Not sure if its the same book, but i have one on KG 200 published by janes and written by P.W. Stahl. Read it years ago but it was a great read.
Hello friends. This will be a 3-part WIP. This Christmas I was blessed with a gift from my good friend Modelcrazy of Hasegawas fantastic 1/48 Fw190. Thanks Steve! It was a gift that encompassed my favorite aiplane, in my favorite scale, of my favorite genre, of my favorite Luftwaffe unit, the KG200! If you would like to look more into this unit, there is a great book on the KG200 from the Stackpole Military History Series that goes into great detail.
The aircraft relegated for testing within the KG200 were generally surplus units that have seen better days. So, this gives me an excuse to really weather this one nice and good! All internal bits are weathered and done so it's on to adding the belts then sealing up the fuselage.
