I'd be interested in participating. I've just recently returned to the hobby and I have never worked with a group build before. This sounds like a great oppurtunity to share, learn and generally enjoy another aspect of modeling. I'm getting close to finishing up my 1/48 Hasegawa Hawker Typhoon so a Marchish start date would probably fit my schedule as well as an open ended end date. How do you see dive and torpedo bombers fitting in? Let's see I have an Academy 1/72 PV-2 Ventura I'd love to build but also have an AMT !/48 A-20 Havoc and a Matchbox 1/72 PB4Y Privateer. Anyway, I'll be following along as the GB develops. Thanks for the oppurtunity to participate.

bombers of any era or any theater preferably as long as it served a role as some sort of aircraft that brought hell from above itall be fine, I can let Dive bombers slide on this one as I said before no time frame to finish bye. This will go as long as everyone wants it to, build as many as you want and have fun.

Just a suggestion but I'd suggest you edit your first post to add the rules and other details such as who is participating. You can get some ideas looking at some of the other group builds.

Personally I'd re-consider the open ended approach, whether it is 6 months, a year, 2 years etc at some point you are going to want to set this one behind you. You can always add an extension if the build is still active when you are approaching the end. A great example of this is the Navy Air Wing GB, this began as a Fleet Air Arm GB, in the second year it became a USN/USMC GB, in its third year it returned to an FAA build.

/forums/t/75307.aspx

I'm planning on a Dauntless dive bomber and a DH-4 WW1 bomber in a few weeks, so I'll probably join in with one of those.

No problem, it just seems like the info for the build is scattered over several posts.

Go ahead and put me down for an Airfix 1/72 DH-4.

Ok, i will through my hand in. I won't be starting for a while, untill i have finished my other two GB's and caught up on my 6 or so Dio's.

Not sure if you would class it as a bomber, but i would like to come in with a 1/72nd Academy Ju-87G-1. If not, then it will be a 1/72nd special hobby Ju-87A-1.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

If a partial build is acceptable, put me down for a Revell 1/48 B-25J, that is around 50%-60% completed.

Well, count me in.  I need, absolutelyneed to build myself a B-52H.  I have had an AMT kit sitting on the shelf for years.  What better reason to build the BUFF.

Hey everyone we are gettin close to the start date, I look forward to seeing pregress pics of what your building.  if anyone has got any references pics of Dirty Dora B25j let me know could use some ideas for her

As you can see by the lack of the top turret being mounted up forward in these photos, Dirty Dora was not a B-25J, but instead an earlier model, a B-25D.

I just started working on a 1/72 Scale F-111F with the "Bunker Buster Bomb". Can I add that to the build? The kit is the AMT/ERTL version. Please let me know.

Thanks Fighterguru. I will tweak it some more. I just realized that the actual name is the "Bomber Stash GB."

Got to do some work on the F-111 today. Here are some pics of the Cockpit. I added foil belts. Pretty nice detail for a 1/72 kit.
