Hey all, sorry its been so long but life has dealt some more hard blows and haven't been able to get to the bench. a little tie the other night and finished off the head end of my lil beast. going o paint the yellow tip panels next, then the RLM 76 undersides/sides then 74/75 camo, hopefully soon.

Thanks guys! Was wondering is all. When I figure out how to post pics here from my iPhone, got a progress pic from my forlorn lil thing lol. Finally able to ease back to the bench. Photo bucket still the best way for pics?

Photobucket is pretty to simple to upload ON to their site from iphones, but working the mobile version to upload photos on to here is beyond me. I can not say it is the best way though...

As the guys have said, Frank is active elsewhere, and while it was a shame to lose him, he bequeathed me the care of the Reich Defenders series of builds, and we'll be launching RD V: Hunters of the Dark later this year, for nightfighters.

Here is the spinner I done last night. Few minor touch ups and its done. Tried the decal in the kit, but that ended as most spiral decals do lol.

Daywalker seemed to drop off the radar earlier this year... I'll PM him and see if everything's okay.

I remember we talked about schlachtgeschwader.  Not just Stukas but any SG aircraft.

That'd be cool - I've got the Hs129, and a 190G that would fit the bill I believe.

hmmmm - here's the last of the conversation following RD3... Stukas mentioned, twin-engines mentioned, axis partners mentioned. I'm close to starting work on a Henschel 129 for another GB if crossovers are OK.  Also have a bunch of late-war Luftwaffe stuff to pick from...

Hi guys, not been on here for a while but glad to see the 190s are still going strong!

In terms of RD IV, I also thought it was Stukas..? However, I just realised I'm not sure what the criteria is - can anyone enlighten me?!

Personally, I would love to build my 1/32 Dragon 110C-7 as part of a GB, so if 110s are an option then that would get my vote.

Any sign of Daywalker yet...?

Twins could be interesting....one thought I had was 'Axis Allies'-German planes flown by other Axis nations-bf109's with Hungarian/Italian/Romanian/etc. markings, etc....you get the idea.

Stik-again, excellent work.  Very nice 190.

Thank you guys! Thats the first time I tried mottling with this particular airbrush which I purchased last year and I do like the results as well...Geeked

Stukas??? as a Reich Defender??? I say the twins... 110's, 210's, 410's, and even the Ju-88/Do-217 heavy fighter types...

Stik -- gorgeous build, I just love the mottle work. You're right up there on quality, she is SWEET!

I thought RD IV was going to be Stukas...? I put a few aside just in case.

I had hoped to get back to the three other 190s I began for this one but RL just won't leave me alone! I have a production line of Phantoms, four unfinished tanks, a couple of Horten wings waiting for paint...

Cheers, M/TB379

I guess who ever decides to run RD IV can come up with something. maybe we can take turns as i guess these could go for quite a while.

Thats looking very nice Stik, love what you have done with the motteling. And at least if theres no photos, no one can say its wrong.

Well what's left for Reich Defender IV? So far its been 109s, 190s, 262s... Zerstorers next?

Anyways, mine has finally crossed the finish line as of this afternoon. Many days late, but not a dollar short. I am mostly pleased with the final outcome. Unfortunately I could find no photgraphic evidence of this Butcher Bird. Only a scheme on the old White Box Monogram issue instruction sheet from 1982 from which kit I had these decals left over: FW-190A8/R1 Yellow 4 from II Gruppe 6./JG.1.

I hope you like this late finisher...

...

Anybody going to throw out some theme's, dates, etc for Reich Defender IV?

Interested, assuming I get some other items wrapped up in the meantime...

Stikpusher your 190 just keeps getting better and better lookin. I really like the mottling on it as I have said before. The suttleness of it really attracts my eye.
