Ok I now truly feel that I like the last badge the most like "RBaers" Why not have a true badge as a badge. I added a new rule as I saw that I didn't post one on figures, so here it is.

5. Rules on Figures: If it's a "standalone", Realy Person,Commander or perticular Pilots and Soldiers. You will need to post a photo of him or her. If not just post you work and let us know what the figure is, as it relates to a non fictional character (Real Person) or a fictional character (What-if). If any one want's to add figures to there projects that is exceptable but no cross overs. This means no what if tankers or soldiers with real vehicles. This means in both air and land types. Now as for your What-ifs, it's up to you. You can use real or made up tankers and pilots.

Now as for the othere new rule I'm going to go on ad add it. As I feel it's really needed. An a bout that What-if Sherman I like that man. How long is that gun barrelman. You realy should keep at it on that one.Wink

OOOO me likes that last badge the most but I also love the first one as well! Which to choose? Bang Head

I jumped on posting the GB in light of you saying you would have it up, an I didn't want any one to jump on you for not having it up. Thin I would have to jump there GUT. Dunce How about that there paw paw?

You know they tha's FSF need's to add a smile laughing. Any way about a new rule add on.

Thunder and Fantacmet both have unfinished projects that I know of. So in honor of you both and a lot of the othere guys/girls from the last group build. This is a rule I must add to the official rules list.

OK this is it, 6. Any Builder that started work in the previous group build and would like to finish there project  in this GB can do so., but you are not eligible to receive a new GB badge.(You must clame the original badgefrom the first GB) For this new GB you must finish a new build for the new badge.

Let me know what you guys think of this new rule. How's that sound Paw Paw?? An yes I have bean watching History's Axemen show. (The Swamp Logger) I just love to I see stuff about Louisiana on the bub tub. Oh and one othere thing I'm going to add to the rules. If any one wants to just show of there older and finished projects, that ok but you just can't get a badge for it sorry.

I'm in for sure on this one, with a Magach 6. I'll put up a pic soon, all I have so far is the basic hull assembled, and I plan on dis-asembling two others for parts. I may also add a "What-if" Sherman, not sure. It's started but barely, and will come apart some before assembly begins again. It's actually more of a carictature than a "what-if". I'll get a pic of it as well

.Edit: found this......

While the scratch-building will probably be minimal on these two, there will be a LOT of kit-bashing.......

I kind of like the "badge" for the "badge", myself.

T-bolt, I'm right there with you on this one..........balls and chains, and paint but those chains are the death of me.

Sorry I didn't jump on it in time.  Alot of stuff came up today.  Thanks for picking it up, couldn't think of a better man for the job, considering your expertise in things IDF far exceeeds mine.  I'll see if I can make a badge.  I can cut aircraft out of pics and put it into an image with a tank.  I'm pretty handy with photoshop, usually I just do retouching, and make wallpapers.  I'll see what I can come up with.  It's not quite time for me to hit the sack yet, and I'm just waiting for paint to dry right now so...........................

Ok here is my first attempt.  It is an IDF F-15 in the background.  It was on a pic on it's own but I removed it and tossed it in this one.

Here's another one as well.  No actual military vehicles, but I think it's cool.  It's the IDF insignia, which still signifies to me anyway the original idea of the first IDF GB, which was to enhance knowledge and awareness of the IDF, as well as to honor their skill, ingenuity, and courage.

Hi White,

Confirming I'm in! One point I'd like to raise, your armor rules say incomplete builds must be at the pre-painting stage. Sad That may disqualify me from finishing my Merk II from the last build here, as the last job I did on it was the basecoat -- nothing beyond that, but the sand/gray was mixed and applied.

I have several possibilities for new subject matter, my IDF Fitter will be coming from the States a bit later on so I'm thinking my best bet at this point would be Hasegawa's P-51D in '48 camo. If those S-199 decals arrive in good time I'll certainly consider Academy's kit of the Jumo-engined Bf 109 as well.

Cheers, Mike/TB379

IDF Group Build Mk. II 2010-2011
Posted by White_R34 on Sunday, April 18, 2010 9:54 PM

OK guys it's time we get things (crack'in) that's slang for started. After trying to pass the buck on to my buddy Fantacmet The man that hosted the first IDF GB I thought I would start this next one. Well after looking in to just what some of you IDF fans want in this next GB I feel that a new version should be done.

I think having a full range of subject matters is the right way to go. This mean all types of armor (Armor,APCs,ARVs) +(What-Ifs) and all types of Aircraft +(What- Ifs) Now in the last group build we only had one What-if I hope we have more. I will type the full rules later, but right now lets talk about what will be exceptable and what will not. First no putting down on any ones work, if you don't like it we don't want to hear it (See it typed). Or I'll jump your gut. Black Eye

Ok now lets start on some rules.

1. First off any plastic, resin or metal kits that are not prepainted are exceptable. If you have started your project and you want to finish it with in this GB I'll allow it, only is it's not in any primer. You have to do the full prepaint, full paint decal and weathering with in this GB to get your badge. New Rule add-on: Any Builder that had started work in the previous group build and would like to finish there project in this GB can do so., but you are not eligible to receive a new GB badge.(You must clame the original badge from the first GB) For this new GB badge, you must finish a new build for the new badge.

2. Any used of resin and "Scratchbuilding" and or "Kit-Bashing" is a must if you can do or add it.

3. Rules on Armor that is not a what if. If it's real you must beable to produce a photo to back up your build. I would say only if it was rare find., but thin all IDF is rare. So for every build there must be some photo of the real 1:1 vehicle. Armored Tanks,Armoured Recovery Vehicles,Armoured Personnel Vehicles, Softskinns Trucks and small jeep like vehicles. These vehicles can be from WWII types to the present day vehicles.

4. Rules for all types of Aircraft  Vehicles same as rule 3. If it's real you must beable to produce a photo to back up your build an so on........ These vehicles as well can be from WWII types to the present day vehicles. AKA(Prop to Jet).

6. Rules for all What-Ifs: Rule 1. All plastic, resin or metal kits that are NOT prepainted are exceptable. If you can try and show some of you scratchbuilding work. Othere than these rules any thing go's in the types you choose.

Here's the starting day and ending date. I want to start this thing on May first 2010 and run till the end on December 31 2011. If I need to move that ending date back I will.

Well that it for the rules from my point of view. If you see that my rules aren't what you like, THAN MAN Let me know. Don't keep it to your self Please. Ok for any of you guys that line realy old armor, Israel had wheeled Armor in 1940 here's a site for yah: http://www.warwheels.net/IsraelEarlyWFVgoldman.html

Oh and this is not a rule but just something I'm asking would some of you guys be share your resources with your fellow (MEs)-Miniature Engineers.

Ok I'll start a list of builders by there screen names or fourm names and projects. to take some time and realy think of what you want to start with. Now one thing I will do, I'll keep a link to the old GB as it's full of info that can still be used.

Edit information: From time to time I will need to edit this post. To add or pull rules away. Thanks you FSF-Fine Scale Fourm.
