How would you have won the war? Imagination GB 2011...
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 2:57 PM

Because of all the  interest in my original post of "How you won the war..." there is now a GB that has spun off from it.

The premise is this:  if you could travel back in time and participate in WW2 what "job" would you have liked to have been in?...model your "office"...the only limit is that the job could NOT have required rank beyond that of a 2nd Lt...ficticious markings on your model are encouraged to portray your unique personaility...

This is what I have so far on who is in and what they are building:

1. Hans Von Hammer, 48th Fw190

2. Medicman71, 48th Hellcat

3. carsanab, 48th Me262

4. Reasoned, 48th Bf109

5. deafpanzer, 1/16th "Screaming "Eagle" paratroop fig

6. agentg, 48th Corsair

7. oddmanrush, 48th Spitfire

8. bondoman, 35th Decima Flottiglia MAS

9. p38jl, ???

10. joeviz, ???

Oddman has designed the badge...ends on Jan 1, 2012...

...let the games---and imagination--- begin...

Sweet, was hoping this would start soon. Need something to get the modeling juices amped again....I'm in a slump.

The badge is here:

Kit, aftermarket parts and supplies, if any, and any other costs or expenses related to acceptance and use of the badge not specified, are the sole responsibility of the recipient. Recipient will be notified by Group Build Host after completion and verification of Badge Eligibility. Badge will remain posted on this thread, approximately 6-8 weeks after the final deadline of Jan 1, 2012 has been exceeded. Recipient must take badge within 30 days of notification of availability or badge will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate modeler. This badge is open to all modelers of any age or country of origin. Void only if Vance is building an Ho-229.

The AT-6 was also used in spotter roles and light bombing.

But yeah, what better way to win the war than to train good pilots?

Put me down on the list Herr Field Marshall. Not sure if I'm doing a P-36, P-40, or my yellow Stearman.  Hmm  Any opinions would be welcome.

I have many books and my Lair smells of rich mahogany!!! Stay thirsty my fellow MOJOs!

Get it right: Vance is in with an incomplete Ho229, my efforts to sabotage the flying wing program obviously saved many allied aircrew from a horrible fate...

Five got airborne and shot down two Zeroes. One pilot, Phil Rasmussen, shot down a Zero with only a 50cal., took approx. 500 hits, and lost his brakes, rudder, and tailwheel. And he did that in his pajamas

I did something similar while just wearing boxer briefs and socks---and this was during a Russian winter...

This is going to be a fun GB... this is the kit I am going to build.  Remember I am not a sissy like you guys flying planes or driving tanks...

If Manny is really going to build something, I will probably give myself a mohawk haircut... Tongue Tied
