lucky bugger Ive been wanting to add a spit to my collection. but for some reason i just cant get excited about spitfires.

im not worried though, i got a tamiya Mk.I

I'm sure Steve  the plane is finished by at east two months and already keep away the dust from the shelf he's parked

Was the Amodel ki-32, similar gaps are usual on these kits but not on new airfix kits  the panel line was engraved after the melt process

I hope the spitfire PR XIX i'm waiting have not this wings gap problem... otherwise i have lots of plastic sheet

Ouch, the wings have the right camber? Fuselage isnt bowed at that point?

fuselage is on point. camber is actually correct. may be a little off. i got the same gap problem on ICM's Mk.XVI spit.

Randy, best way i found to fill similar canyons are to put  plastic strips inside and melt with tamiya glue,  instead of lots of putty . Also the strips help for a correct wings angle

BIG glup!  are you sure those wings belong to that fuselage??  maybe you were sleep walking er building, and opened another model box and pulled the wings out of it??

Nice looking little helicopter bsyamato.  I like especially the outdoor photos.  Looks very realistic.  Congratulations.

Thanx Scorpion but the real problem are inside the clear parts, i needed to use the CA glue to fix it 

Fantastic job bsyamato. Its a shame you couldnt get those windows crystal clear.

I can't see the glue mark, but who cares, as long as you touch it up.  Your arrangement of alligator clips on bamboo skewers is similar to one that I use sometimes. One question, what is the jar labelled 'Windex Metallic' for ?

Tony - I use separate water tubs and windex for cleaning my metallic and non-metallic paints in an attempt to minimize transfer of metallic particles into my non-metallic paints. I think I read about it somewhere or I thought it couldn't hurt to try anyway.

When I clean my brushes I do a quick rinse with water (or I only use water when cleaning the brush while continuing with the same colour), then I do a more thorough cleaning with the windex and then I do a final clean at the end of the session with a little dish-soap and water.

  another case for this muddler (me)  to learn a simple truth, how to easly and effectively clean my brushes.  Thanks Griffin, you make great models

Here's the progress shots on mine as the year-end approaches. Some of the shots look similar (flash/no-flash), I didn't know which was better (and the quality sucks) but here they are. Please bear in mind this is the model I've built in about 30 years and my first AB experience.

Bottom, you can see where I got some glue on her and have to do some touch-up work:

I just have to finish the details and then attempt weathering and she'll be complete. I think I'm just going to try post-shading with oil paints and call her done.

It seems like canopies--for fit and color--are a problem in helicopters, but y'all are coping very well.

The fit of the glazing parts on my Puma is not the best and will need loads of attention to get it right! You can see what I am talking about at the top of the cockpit.

Someone on another forum warned me about the incorrect transparent green color i use  during my references gathering ,out of all the real scouts images, i see one or two scouts kits with transparent upper canopy.. then my brai completely ignored the real image that shows everywhere the scouts with BLUE transparent upper canopy 

So i removed the green and put on the correct color

Also replaced the tail runner that i break during the refine step

Next steps i hope will be last before final pictures
