Thanks again Bish.
Sure, I'll have the new kit next year. I still have to finish the Spindrift! Went shopping for parts today.
Thanks guys. Watchman, if you still have the new kit towards the end of the year, I may try a round 2 is there is enough interest. Look forward to seeing your current build.
Ok all, the GB is now officially closed. So if you have not yet started, sorry guys.
For those that have completed, thanks guys, been some great builds as always.
Onwards.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Thanks hosting Bish. Mine has been in the paint shop this week. Gotta go shopping for some more stuff tomorrow; I always seem to be needing something before I can continue work. :(
Got a new kit from my wife today!
Merry Christmas, guys o/
Thanks Bish for a rocking GB! It was smashing good!
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays everyone! Hope everyone is having or will have an awesome Christmas!

Ok guys, tomorrow is officially the last day of the GB. If you have started, then feel free to carry on posting pics and claim your badge.
appreciate the "extension."
haven't been in a painting mood so DANA has stalled but i had a good paint session yesterday so if i get focused i can start silly puttying and painting the brown, followed by the black. tools are done chassis and wheels are washed it's just the top. i don't plan on weathering it much, probably some light dust. i may have to bash out a new base as this think is BIG.

Looks good to me Tony, thanks for taking part, nice to have this on the front page.
Here is my Jaguar XHR-9LM. I'm calling it done. It's far from my best model, but at least I can put in on the shelf amongst the collection and hope that nobody notices too much. I've now completed all 4 Hasegawa XJR jaguars, happy with that.
Cheers
Tony
I'm just taking it one GB at a time.
Thanks Bish
Now that's looking nice Tony.
Completed the somewhat onerous task of applying the decals....
I'll try to get this done before Christmas , Bish.
I know what you mean wayne. This is the first winter I have been spraying out of the house. Apart from being rather chilly, I have noticed how the paint and varnish react, and its not even that cold.
Remember guys, the GB ends on xmas day, for that's 20 days away (I think). But as long as the kit has already been started, I am happy to let it run after that and still claim the badge. But if you can get them done before then, that' would be great.
Bish Should be done with this soon wayne, can't wait to see it finished.

me too. been off the grid plus haven't felt like playing with silly putty and it 7F outside, just a balmy winter day on the eastern front. been working on other stuff as you will see shortly. picked up a 20mm(4) 8T halftrack SPAA and a jeep,,motorcycle recon team, and gamma goat at gift exchange #1 (grenada theme). gift exchange #2 is friday ans will be crazier because the wives have a gift exchange too and alcohol will be involved.
Nice to see you back on this one Tony, looking forward to it.
What kind of paints will you be using, Tony?
I've finally got back to my Jaguar XJR-9. I've masked off the white body to spray some purple panels, rather than try and make the kit purple decals conform to the complex curves of the surface.
found some more pieces to finish up. looks like inside of "turret halves" and gun will have to be decaled and weathered before putting it all together.
here is a pic of the belly of the beast. REAL DEAL rust and dirty oil over the black which doesn't show up weill and oil wash of black and burnt umber on tthe green. i assume the jacks are hydraulic so the smaller shafts are shiny. next step is silly putty cab and engine compartment and paint next color
That's looking great wayne, a real beast in deed.
hey eagle90 for all the trouble the CUTLASS turned out nice. a trick with the background is take the first pic, copy it and move it to the right, flip it and nudge the ends together,
work on the beast continues. base coat is done. tools are done. will camo the turret sides separately (they are just sitting on the base right now) as well as cab and engine; dark earth and black. still some fiddly stuff that goes in the aft end of the gun after it's all together and some decals to put on before putting the turret together. at least the chassis and wheels are done and oil washed and won't have much dirt or mus applied.
Glad to see this one under way Ernst.
Hey guys! Sorry to be so late with this one! I promised Bish I'd build this kit for the GB....its the ONLY kit I've ever received as a gift, and from my coworkers no less!! What a great group of gals (yes GALS!!)
Dragon 1/35 Neubaufahrzeug
The only addition to this will be some Friulmodel tracks. I picked these up at the Hobby Expo in Petaluma, CA a couple of years ago simply to make building this kit easier. This way I won't have to worry about fitting the indy link tracks after all the assembly is done.
Assembly will start real soon.....as soon as I finish assembly on an old Tamiya Pz. IV Ausf. D and it goes into the paint booth.

Thank you Bish! Awesome GB! Keep them coming!
Nice looking build eagle. I have added yours to the front page. thanks for joining in.
Thanks Watchmann!
I have one clear coat on there now, but I'm not getting this shine I wanted. Maybe one more coat will do it?
Thanks again!
Looks really good Eagle, especially the paint job.
Opppps! I just noticed the NAVY decal on the fin is off set! Must of happened when I was doing the Set/Sol!
Hey everyone! I'm calling her done! I know, the background is lousy, but I had to put 2 pics together since she is a fairly big one! Like I said in past posts, this kit is full of bad seams, gaps, you name it, but for a for such a unique subject, it was fun to build. There is a pilot hidden in the cockpit....he sits so low, it's hard to see him. Anyway, thank you Bish for letting me be part of this awesome GB!
