I hope you can get it sorted. I don't know why I stick with PB sometimes, probably because I can't be bothered looking for some where else.

Thank you Clemens...I know there were very few color pictures of these beautiful old aircraft and we just have to Take the B&W photos and apply camo per RLM standards, so I hope I'm doing it correctly. I've been a bit under the weather this week (a chest cold) and I have a bit more time at home this week to build. Here are a few more pictures...

Got the main part of the camo done over this weekend. Now I just have some Brown Violet to add. I am planning on putting a line of it between the two green and some mottling on the lighter green.

I am hoping to get the other colour on tonight.

Bish... Looking good! Very ambitious. I need some Brown Violet too (RLM 81 I think?) but LHS was out. Probably have to try mixing some...Did you say your going to seperate the 2 green shades with a line of another green shade? Man, thats giong to be some paint scheme!

Thanks guys. Doug, I am using the RLM 81 to separate the two greens as well as the mottling. I just did it half hour ago so will get some pics tomorrow once it has dried. Not to sure if I like it yet, but I am not going to change it either way. It might grow on me.

And yes, Brown Violet is 81.

I apologize for the poor quality of the image, but I was forced to use my laptop's webcam for this one.

PROGRESS REPORT: Gaps were filled with some silver sprue dissolved in Testors pink label and then sanded. I finished the priming and preshading on the Zerstorer last night. I went a little thicker this time, since in the past I have not had the best results with thin lines. Not my best work, but preshading doesn't have to be perfect. I will confess that, being an armor modeler, I have no RLM colors in my possession, so I will have to wait a little while for a sizable ScaleHobbyist order (I am also out of putty, white paint, and good masking tape, and I have yet to order a few figures for a diorama).

Looking forward to some sharp pics of that one!

I had to do some touch up tonight as I had missed a couple of bits, besides, it gave me the excuse to try out my new spray booth. I think you can just make out the RLM 81 between the two greens. Not as fine as I wanted, I need to work on my thinning ratios and pressures a bit.

So here she is

Still not sure how I feel about it. Honest opinions very welcome.

I'm almost finished with the "office" of my flying tank (aka Thunderbolt). I just need to do some drybrushing...

The only thing left to do otherwise is the gunsight. But there is a big mold line running all the way through it. Any ideas on fixing that? I'll build it all clsed up, but the canopy on the jug is so big you can still see everything inside!

Cheers, Clemens

Bish -- I think the colours have worked well, the mottle is very good. With a flatcoat over your decals and panel wash this will be a most unusual and effectuve scheme!

Ok guys I'm calling this one finished... Not a bad kit, pretty darn good fit. And again, This is Heinz Schnaufer, Who was (an still is) the highest scoring night fighter pilot of all time. This is the aircraft he flew when pressed into service for ground support missions. Enjoyed the group build and will continue to watch the good work taking place here!

Very well done, Doug! A tough, detailed, textured finish of an historically important aircraft.

Cheers on being first to finish -- I'd choose either the first or second shot for the honour wall, do you have a preference?
