Oh yes, since this GB incorporates land, sea, and air builds, hopefully we can get a banner that will reflect that. Or one for each?

No, we do not have a banner yet. If you could come up with a couple of designs to choose from, that would be great!

Stik I couldn't get around their site very well but I've found some other figures are pieces I'll need. Every time I'm locked into a theme I see something else, more time more money…….so little of both.

Nice find there sir! Looks real good to me.

Jibber, they are resin figures that I came across on ebay. I cant navigate Hobbyfan's website worth a hoot since it is not exactly in English or some other language that I am familiar with. I really do wish that they would rectify that. But they do have, or at least had, lots of Vietnam figures, bth Army and Marines, ofen geared for the AFV Club kits: LVTP-5, M88, etc.

In a completely unrelated search on glorious Google I stumbled across a model site that seems to be geared perfectly for this GB and I had not heard mention of previously.  MecModels has all sorts of goodies I need to acquire for the collection - of course once again I am shackled by budget - to add that extra little bit of detail to my Viet Nam era builds, I picked up a set of decals for one of the LVTP5 kits in my stash.

Hope you'll find it useful.

Stik, where do I look on Hobby Fan site, I couldn't find any US Army figures, especially Nam Era. I found everything else imaginable

Hobbyfan makes some good resin figures that go with the M88 in Vietnam uniforms.

Jibber, this really sounds like a great Dio.

It will be fun following along with you on here. I had a dio idea that I have wanted to do for a while now, but, can't find detailed enough photos to go ahead and do it. I've wanted to do a USMC SATS field, with the jet powered catapult and the jet powered MOREST gear.  I have had to compromise on just doing a JATO Skyhawk launching off of a PSP base instead. (leaving me with a model base instead of a true Dio)

I hope you can find all the references you need to do this up.

Stik, my M88 arrived in one piece and looks to be a challenging build so I picked up the Squadron Book to help on the details. My plan is still to include a damaged M113 (original) being picked up by the 88. I'm looking at some AM Nam figures and equipment to look like a repair yard. Pretty ambitious I guess but these seem to turn out for the better when I'm done. I have 2 maybe 3 other builds to finish before tackling this beast, I want to take my time and really make a nice display for the build.

Greg & Josiah, your kits are added to the roster. Greg, I presume that you are building the Academy kit of the Vietnam M113  that can be made into either version, (as well as the Aussie version where I suspect you swiped the turret for your UN build) I put yours down as M113/M132.

Two months to go here and we have quite a members list going already!

Hey guys, I would love to jump in on this one. I'll be a TBA for now until I find something to build. I'm currently working on the F-4c from academy, but that will be finished by the time the GB starts.
