Doug  getting to use some of my  "treasured" Floquil enamels that I have left. Loved these paints. Almost cried when I found out they were being discontinued. Slowly dwindling down the supply.

I hate to hear that... Floquil at one time made some fantastic paint for air brushing T-shirts and such. Well regardless... Great work!

Mike thanks ! Finished it up ,will try to get some decent pics up soon ,work permitting

Doug I've seen the Owl Fug ant and was sooo tempted, but after hearing the trouble you had I'm glad I did'nt spend the coin on them! Great analogy of the Owl products its fitting!

TJ that paint job is looking tasty ! Looking forward to seeing more!

TJ -- coming along beautifully! Those old Floquils do a wonderful job. That was one of the brands I became aware of in the modelling literature back in the late 70s, along with Polly S and Pactra, but they never showed up in Aus, down here it's Humbrol, by and large, with MM as the alternative. Enamels are giving way to Acrylics bigtime.

Trey that is awesome. The black wing really stands out. What color is the mottle?

Thanks TJ the mottle is model master RLM75 right out of the bottle and RLM 83 that I mixed myself. Then I sprayed a blue filter over the whole scheme.

Looks great Trey!  Looking at all the Ju-88s in here is making me want to pick one up to add to the stash

Hmm. The blue filter sounds like a good idea. I sprayed 74 on mine but it seems a bit too stark. Maybe the filter will tone it down a bit.  And I just got my detailer washes in the mail

Trey -- superb work! That's a model to be really proud of! The airbrushing is wonderful, the masking came off very nicely too!

Do you have a preference on which pic for the honour wall? I'd go for the sixth down.

Apologies for not getting back sooner, teaching resumed this week and I've been busy to say the least!

Well just found out that I painted the mottling wrong color. Hopefully I will be able to just spray over with correct color. And like Trey had on his it was a directive fir the starboard lower wing to be painted black.

Trey -- page 1 updated!

Well, comrades, we're a third of the way through the build and we have four completions. Let's see what we can pull out as the year progresses! I know I must get to mine, and have few excuses left (other than working four days a week again!)

Hey guys... Its been a bit quiet here lately, but the work going on has been top shelf! Give me about another week or so and I'll have everything plus the time to start my next contribution the Do17-Z. I finally received the decals today and the pe for the cockpit got here about a week ago. This will be an early war night incursion fighter having taken part in the "Blitz"of London. These were  virtually all black, but I'd like to be able to exercise just a bit of artistic freedom on the finish. Thanks all... back soon!
