Japanese GB IV feeler...
Posted by Gamera on Sunday, December 14, 2014 4:35 PM

Ok, several people have asked about this but as I've said in the Japanese GB III thread I was recently involved in a car accident and somewhat under the weather so I've been kinda dragging on this. Well here it is, same rules as the last few GBs, and if I can get ten people signed on I'll post the actual GB just before the new year.

JAPANESE GROUP BUILT PART IV

RULES

* Start date January 1st, 2015

* Run time to December 31st, 2015

* Japanese subjects, which I'll define as fighting under the Japanese flag, aka a captured P-40 flown by a Japanese pilot would be eligible.

* Cross-overs welcome

* Pre-started are fine as long as under 10-20% (light assembly)

* Any 'roll-over' subjects from Part III are welcome.

And most important have fun guys and gals!

Raymond and SP: Thanks guys, you two along with Bsyamato make three so we're almost a third of the way there. I do remember a few more of you guys expressed an interest but forgive me I don't remember who now.

PS: Ok the rules posted the way I'd formated them here on the office computer using Chrome but didn't last night on my laptap with Pale Moon, maybe this is a browser issue. Anyway they should be readable now.

I'm in. I was planning on a IV.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

GAMERA hope you continue to get better.

i was counting on one too. AOSHIMA has a bunch of JGSDF 1/72 stuff (and now i do)

if you get enough folks here, you might want to post a feeler in the other model forums too.

Thanks guys!

Well, including myself that makes eight. I think that's close enough to call it a go. I'll see about posting the actual GB soon.

Wayne: Good idea, I was going to post over on the aircraft, armour, and ship forums when we get up and running, just dragging my feet a little.

Gamera,

Check the dates you entered for the build, you show 2014, and I don't think that's what you meant. I have a few kits in my stash I might try to work in if I can. I'd only build one though for this GB.

The dates are off a year, but we get your drift!

I'm interested. Not sure with what just yet. Maybe a Rufe or some other Zero type?

Get well. Sorry about the wreck.

Lol, not meds , just a big brain fart, I copied and pasted the rules from JGB III since I didn't really intend to change anything. I should have changed the date but forgot, thanks for the head's up guys! Dunce

And thanks, you guys take us to the tipping point, I'll be posting the actual GB when I get a little more time.

Edit: Ok, boss left to go to the doctor's office, I have time so I just started the post, putting you guys down now.

Goldhammer- going to put you down, if you change your mind no problem.

I may jump in this later next year. I have committed to 9 GB's already, but I really like the subject. Plus, because of you Gamera, I purchased a couple Fine Molds IJA tanks! LOL!

Hope you are feeling better after the accident. Collarbone fractures are a pain.

Thanks Bruce, yes I'm healing this will just take a little while.

And I hope you enjoy the FineMolds tanks, I just bought the Type 5, the heavy experimental paper panzer, I think I have a complete set of every version they make now- I just need time to build them!

Let me know when you get the free time and I'll slap your name down!

I am in with a Hasegawa A6M5c Type 52 in 1/72. Going to do a late war "seen better days" style. Maybe a vinette with figures.

I would like to participate in this GB as well.  I will take a whack at a Nichimo, Ki-45, ".Nick" in 1:48 scale.

And also, on a more serious note, I hope you are feeling better.

Regards,

Freddie from LI

Sounds good! I've got one of those somewhere, for an older kit it's still a pretty nice model.

And thanks, I'm healing up- this is just going to take a little time.

I'll be in with a Zero or a tank.

Hey Gamera,

Put me down with a Lindberg 1/48 Mitsubishi A6M Zero.

Small kit with very little parts but should be fun to get the paint right.
