I will get a badge together in a couple of days. BTW just checked the Aoshima site and they are going to be issuing a couple of modern fire trucks. SWEET. It looks like they have some ModelCollect stuff too.

Can't really not participate in my favorite scale, wayne.  I'd like to participate with an Airfix Spitfire Mk I.

You'd've known I'd be skulking in the wings for another OTS build! This badboy has been on my hitlist for a year and I finally got one:

She's gonna wear RCAF markings from '45 (decals from Hannants). Thanks for hosting another great build Wayne!! Uh, oh, this may sideline my Hansa-Brandenburg, again!!

Hey Rob, good to see you here! Wayne will get you down as soon as he can. I know you'll make a killer build out of it.

I was just directed here from the "Boeing Build" thread. I'm a 1/72 guy myself, and I'm planning on doing something for that other thread. I haven't quite settled on what I'm doing yet, but it will be an early Boeing. In 1/72, of course.

Wayne,

Can you also put me down with the ROG 1/72 Type IXC U-boat? It will be a crossover build from my Submarine Warfare GB starting later this year.

I'm interested in joining.  Haven't done a group build yet and have several in the stash that would fit.  My only issue would be progress pics.  I only have a poor quality camera phone.

Possible entries would be Airfix's new tool Tiger Moth, Airfix's A-4B Skyhawk, or Tamiya's F-16CJ with Eduard PE.

I'll let you know what I decide.

Sounds good Krusty, welcome aboard.

Thanks Modelcrazy.  I'll definitely be watching your build.  I've been eyeing that Mariner for a while.  It's just been a tad over my price range.  Smile

Thanks for the link from the other Thread. I'm in too. I'll determine what kit I'll be doing and post up the box here when I do.

I like that Mariner. I have a previous release in my stash as well. I'll most likely do something in armor so Wayne don't feel so alone amongst all these aircraft.

I'll keep you posted.

Yeah Bish I figured you would join the GB as soon as you saw it.

As far as the U-boat, I have been dying to get to it for 2 years. I figure this is the year. I was finally able to get the Big Ed PE set off eBay, from a seller in England no less. The only Big Ed I could find on eBay and the least expensive on the whole net.

It would be rude not to.

I don't have any AM for mine yet, i was concentrating on getting what i needed for the Type VII which i will do first. I had planned on back dating mine to an earlier boat, so now i need to decide what i will do with mine. One of the guys at the model club i am in is big into U-boats and talking to him it seems almost every boat was slitghtly differant. So i will narrow mine down to a certain boat before decideing what to add.

How long are you thinking this will take to build.

I will be starting it in August, but it should probably take a month or so if I concentrate on it. I'm also looking at a wood deck from Nautilus. If I budget for it I can get it before I begin. That should really make it pop.

A months, i must say thats ambitious. I have the Nautilus deck for the VII and it looks really nice. I had hoped they would bring out a new tower for the IX, but now i think i will just get the deck they have and do a late boat.

I may be underestimating the time frame, especially considering I want to drill out the Limber Holes and add PE.

Fear not. After i do the MCV i think i will do the JGSDF PATRIOT PAC-3 so i can cover all the posted targets. U-boat might be a problem though.

JGSDF MCV the front two axles are moveable and you can even add body tilt to turns.
