Cdn Colin

Can I join with Tamiya's J2M Raiden?

Absolutely Colin! Thanks for coming up with another "Thunderbolt" to add to the list.

Lawdog- Good to have you aboard, I'll start up a new thread on the GB section soon so discussion can take place if anyone wants, even though the build doesn't start till October.

Thanks all!

So when does this thing start?  Whenever it does, it may be a cursed build for me.  I picked up the 1/72 Academy A-10A today at the LHS.  Opened the kit to read the instructions, on the outside are the painting and decal instructions for the A-10.  On the inside, instructions for building a P-51B/C.

might these be the instructions in question?

You can count me in Rooster.  I have a couple of P-47's to pick from, and by the time that this build starts my son might be ready to build his Hobbyboss A-10, so we might get a Two-fer out of this one.

Mine will be a 1/48 Tamiya P-47D, not sure if bubbletop or not yet though.  I have several markings to choose from, although my favorite has to be "eight nifties"!

Haha, thanks, Rooster. Why not both indeed? We will see how time goes. But I'm going to order a bottle of the Mr. Paint Interior Dark Gull Green today just so I'm ready.

Rooster, I'd definitely like to be in on this. I would be in for an A-10 as I don't have one in my collection.

Thanks, Rooster!  Looking forward to it.  Hopefully, a good solid build of one of my all time favorite planes will get me out of a fchronic build funk!!

Hi Rooster;

I would like to sign up with a 1/32 Hase bubbletop. Depending on your end dates & completion %, it could be either a new build or the completion of my dad's WWII mount, which is started and pestering me to finish. And then there's the HobbyBoss A-10 in the stash...

No shortage of T-bolts; lucky me!

Now this might just be the excuse i need to build a P-47, and the time frame suits me fine. Count me in. And don't worry, hosting a GB is easy.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Hey all,

    I wanted to throw out there the possibility of doing a Thunderbolt Group Build. It would be open to both the P-47 & A-10 Thunderbolts with a start time of around October I think and would probably run a year (open to discussion). I've never built a P-47 before but I've really been itching to. I also haven't hosted a GB myself and would be open to anyone more experieced who would like to co-hostBig Smile. I know there are always several GB's going on and only so much time to build so please let me know what you think. I've posted this in the Aircraft & Group Build section of the forums. Thank you!
