I found three more categories to add to it, dieselpunk, biopunk and retrofuturistic LOL

Hi,

If you add all those to the mix, maybe we could call it the "Do you feel lucky, Punk" groupbuild Stick out tongue

OK, since I'm not so much about numbers, I think I have enough intrest.

I put up an official thread in November with a start date Jan 2020. End date......?

Its funny that you mention that.  Just this morning I pulled a 1/720 scale Revell USS Arizona off a stack of unbuilt kits that I have and thought that it might make a good starting point for a pre-dreadnaught like steam punk build.

Now that sounds cool

Steve,

Might be a good use for some of those old Lindberg battleships that are not detail friendly.

How about the different types of pod racers from Star Wars Episode 1!

Lots and lots of different ideas, which are only held back by one's imagination!

Haha, I feel 40 years being shed already!

Or that Revell snap tite "Black Diamond". I've seen some wild steampunk flying ship images, and even some modles.

Now my imagination is really going.

Steve: Neat idea, I love it!

I might have to jump in on this, give me the next eight months to mull it over.

Yeah, looking through my parts box, a 32 ford hood can be a plate of some kind, exhaust pipes can double as steam pipes, a 1/72 F 16 intake can be a smoke stack, wheel well covers can be armor plate. The ideas are endless

Steve,

Since I build both period sailing ships and modern subjects, its got me thinking of some interesting ideas.

I'm interested.  Never kit-bashed anything, but I have a lot of spares lying around and a lot of imagination.  Big Smile

Cheers,
Mark

Cool idea Steve.  I am imagining something like an old iron robotic steam locomotive with plenty of rivets!

Hi,

I think that I'd be interested.  I have an idea for a small scale HMS Thunderchild, that may be a bit Steam-Punkish, though I have also been giving some thought lately to early tanks and armored vehicles, that may be also considered kind of Steam-Punkish, so I maybe could try scratchbuilding one of them as well.

I had to lookup what Steampunk means because I'm not very bright but that sounds like a fun idea. I would be in. The fact that it wouldn't start until next year fits my procrastinating style. Lol

Just curious, how many people would be intrested in a Steampunk GB? A reason to kitbash some of your spare parts into something post apotiliptic, Sci Fi, alternate universe or whatever. It wouldn't necessarily need to have any relationship to steam, just your imagination and creativity.

Just wondering. If there was enough intrest I could start one the start of next year. Enough time to knock some ideas around in your head. Confused
