I'd like to join with the 1/72 Mach 2 Sud Caravelle.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Getting closer.

The nacelles are on.

I thought the rear cabin door needed some color.

Hi guys, mind if I join the fun? Last Saturday I started a 1/48 FW 190 to be done as Pips Priller's A5. I'm also going to build the BMW 327 that Pips had. Here's the box:

This will be my first ever 190, and 1/48 car. The details actually put some 1/25 scale cars to shame!

I decided to go completely stock with this build.

The cockpit panel is detailed.

I made masks for the big dials.

I might put a decal on the lower panel.

Most of the detail painting is done.

Nice!

Your Jug is moving along fast.

On a side note, it's amazing to see how different the "classic" canopy looks from the later bubble canopy. It changes the whole look of the aircraft.

Yeah, I like the razorback look much better than the bubble tops, but that form following function thing...

Got some markings on. Decals are behaving at the moment; trimming them close and using Future underneath to help with any adhesion/silvering issues.

I think the major painting is done.

Tamiya Insignia white for the top

Tamiya grey primer on the bottom

Tamiya flat black for the floor

Kyrlon celery for for the interior

Tamiya gloss black for the seats.

I was planing on building this OOTB, but I'm toying with correcting the center console. From a tappered one to a square one.

Next up is gloss coat, decals, and final construction.

With all the flying things maybe I should build a SAM also?

mississippivol, Picked the same P-47 up years ago at Hobby Lobby and had the same problem with the decals. The Jug is turning out nice so far.

Justinryan215, I have the exact same Plague Doctor expect it was cast in metal. Mine didn’t come with the raven or the staff and the left arm is different.

Wondering if mine was a bootleg? Mine is a box somewhere I’ll see if I can dig him out later. The Doctor is turning out really well.

Cj, I’m curious to see how Medusa turns out. I have a few 1/35 MasterBox figures and haven’t been that impressed with them.

Theuns, looks like you are making progress on the Allo.

Mach71, nice work so far.

As for me I haven’t started on the T-55 yet. I’m waiting for a aluminum gun barrel which should hopefully be here Saturday.

...and what brand would be Klingon?Hmm

Anyhoo, I got the final paint on the Jug. I underpainted the OD for some fading. I pulled up the canopy masks until I realized I still have clearcoat to doBang Head. Decals and weathering next...

Ive got the same Jug in my stash!  I just may have to move it up in the que!  Nice work!

I started on the background 'scene' for the plague doctor (really, thats all I had time for yesterday...)

Test fit:

Maybe I have been on ockdown to long but that Medusa looks prety darn hot ;-)

Bish welcome.

Nice fading on the Jug, it ooks "used" ;-)

That Plague doctor looks fantastic, well done, I really like the light effect of the lamp. Oneday I have to also do figure.

As for the Allo, I am batling with the glazing, there are gps all over the joints than need to be filed with stretched sprue but I will beat it into submition yet...I have before LOL

I de-masked the bottom hull and did some detail painting.

The top hull is drying from a repaint.

My plan is to leave the bottom hull primer grey and paint the top hull flat white. Then seal them with a gloss pearl clearcoat to tone down the paint a bit.

Thats the plan, it might change.

Klingons? 180 grit.

Nice Jug!

No photos yet, but I've been painting the shuttle today.

I got greedy and tried to put down too much primer in onecoat and got a run.

DOH!

Yup, I'll be making a TP run to Vulcan as soon as it's finished.

It's the only logical course of action......

Vulcan TP is known across the Universe as the softest.

Mark, I got to thinking about your shuttle, that it could hold a lot of tp to make it through sitting this lockdown out!

The Doctor is really looking good! Theuns, I know what you mean about having to build subjects that have very little selection in quality (read: Toko P -63A), it is, however, a grand feeling of accomplishment when it's done!

I started my Allo and am now wrangling the glazing into place bit by bit, it is a fiddly kit and the fit is not all that good but if one wants to buld it in 1/72 you are not really spoilt for choice.

I'd like to jump on board. I have a Young Miniatures 1/10th Templar bust that i prepped and primed months ago but has been sat on the shelf since. This should give me the nudge to finish it.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Start with that Medusa, and work on that tomcat when you get it....

I said I was going to do a F14 tomcat but I forgot that I am actually going to be doing a Medusa vignette.

Just about finished with the good doctor...I'm a little concerned that I may have gone too far with my illumination attempt, but we will see when I get him into his 'scene'....
