Allright guys, I'm afraid I need to ask for some help. I'm looking for pics of the nightfighter varient of the F6F hellcat, and the only ones I can find are black and White. I tried Airliners.net, but the only pics they have are 3tone paintjobs. Can anyone direct me to a reference site?

I sprayed the final coat of dark blue this morning (before my 11:20 class). It's looking really sharp. I painted white under the wingtips and vertical stab to simulate the identification squares. THe kit supplied decals, but I figured they wouldn't work too well based on past experiences. Although all the big parts are finished with their paint, I've done no painting at all for the small parts. I figure I'll paint all them when the hurricane gets here. I'd post pics, but the batteries to the camera is dead.

Not sure about the new thread, we had alot of information on this thread and it would be nice to keep it all together. Just a thought.

By the way modelingmonkey you were never running this build boogie bear was. so you need to leave the thread alone and messing things up. there was no reason to move the tread. So everyone will know THAT THIS IS A GROUP BUILD AND NOT A MODELINGMONKEY BUILD.

OK. What's deal here? Just a couple questions.

1. Who is running the build?
2. Do we use this thread or the thread monkey want's us to use?
3. Do we have a final version of the badge?
4. Start and End times? Did it start today?

Things have become a little confusing to me.

Thanks,

Painklr

I am rreally sorry for the confussion. the start date is sept 1 2005 the badge is still up in the air. as of yet boogie bear is running the show. I e-mailed him today and I am waiting to see if he is still running it. as for modelingmonkey, I do not think he is running the GB. and as for moving the thread that in my opinion should not have been done. to me it was an attempt to hiest this build. I hope that I am wrong but the way he did it and proclaimed himself the GB leader was wrong.

Kevin,

thanks for the info. I agree and think we should keep using this thread. But who am I to say what we should do. I am just at the box-stock level. I will keep checking this thread for updates. Thanks.

Way cool painklr. I talked to boogie bear last night and he agreed the thread will stay here. so anyone on this GB just stay here and lets have fun. so with that said, everyone please list you kit and AIRCRAFT type. then it will all get posted at the beginning of this build.
THE MAIN THING HERE IS EVERYONE TO HAVE FUN
AND BUILD A REALLY COOL FLYING PIECE OF ART.

Hi all,

It's good to see the GB getting back on track. To be honest though, I'm about 85% done with my nightfighter (F6F Hellcat). I started a little less than a week ago, as I was under the impression that the GB had already started. Sorry guys. I'll still be here for motivational and inspirational support.

joshua not a problem. slow and easy we have lots of time. you can do that scenery that you always wanted to do. or show that bird getting ready to be loaded to the teeth, or heck just stay in the build to show what a hellcat can really do. either way you are in a build that is going to rock this place.

Hi All.
After not being around for a while I was notified that the Night Fighter GB has really taken off after a slow start. This has evolved into something that is way over my head. In order to keep this running smoothly and successfully I have asked platinumhw to look after this GB. He has graciously accepted. Thak you Kevin. He has done far more for this GB than I could have. At some point I would like to enter a kit, but at this point in time I have more than enough 'on my plate'
I want to apologize for any problems that have occurred.
So, lets get on with this.Have fun!

Wow Thank You boogie bear. It is an honor and pleasure. You can jump in anytime you want FOR THAT MATTER ANYONE ONE CAN JUMP in AT ANYTIME, this is a group build and the more the better. Just dont enter a kit that has already been built. the name of the game is fun fun fun fun. as for the badge how about by friday the ninth we vote on a badge. anyone can make the badge and we will all vote on it. so everyone can throw one out there, it is all apart of having fun. as a thought if anyone can the badge can even be a comic strip or what you think feels right. happy hunting.
