ummmm.... i totally didn't put down what kit i was planning to build.

it's a nissan 300zx with some scratch built accessary parts for the car. hopefully i'd become bored enough to spend 10 bucks to get a set of rims... talk about ricing even a model car. sheesh.

sounds fine with me, n in hope that more people joins as it goes on for a year. that's the fun part as well. either way i got enough skylines to last me for the year... actually that spoken as a fact is almost kinda sad... yet interestingly i'd rather sign up with a Tamiya 300ZX convertible with some minor scratch built mods.

A reasonable question. I am actually in the middle of scratch building a 1:29 scale railroad flat car for my garden railroad, so I'm not averse to the general idea. However, this would be my first car model and I don't have enough confidence that I'd be able to do a reasonable job on it. I'd rather save up the money for the kit (I have since found places that sell it for $40, so looking around may save some money too) and spend the time on adding scratch details.

I WILL be building a model of this car at some point, as the first 2 Mad Max movies are among my favorites of all time. In fact, I hope to build a set of the brightly colored cars as well to make a little diorama; I'm just not likely to be able to do it all as part of this build.

Yes, it turns out that the Mad Max kit is out of my budget as well. I realized I could spend $50 for one not very good car model or get 3 state-of-the-art armor kits for the same price - voted for the 3. Good luck to the rest of you with the build.
