Well, I was going to start my Testors B-2A today before starting the P-38J for the WWII GB. I guess I can wait awhile. Is two months going to be enough time to complete these models?

I don't have a Flying Wing in stash, but I'll search one...
You'll be needing a badge for your GB too.

Cheers,

Jürgen

You could try an XB-35, thats a fun build. I mad a 1/32nd one but its BIG, about a 2 1/2 foot wingspan.

Well, this is certainly new around here, a GB where RC's are welcome Big Smile [:D]
I'm tempted, very temped, it's been a while since I did something with RC, but I certainly would not be able to meet the deadline Sigh [sigh]

I could bring up the deadline, i have noticed since posting this, most GBs are sometimes up to a year, lol, tell me how much time you think you would need.

If you extend the deadline to somewhere in the year 2139, I'm in with a Horten HO229 in 1/48th scale. OOB except for an Aires resin Jumo 004 engine to tart it up Wink [;)]

Im already extending the deadline to make it a year (seems to be the norm around here) so the man above me can do an RC.

Hi there! I have both the AMT YB-49 and the Testor's B-2 but I'm already doing the YB-49 for the Old Guns GB. Are cross builds allowed?Big Smile [:D] If not, then put me down for the Testor's B-2. I won't be going hard at it until sometome next year because I'm crammed full of GBs till spring but I'll try to pick away at it.

Okay, okay. I was hoping I could save some shelf space.Big Smile [:D] It really wouldn't be fair to use one model for multiple GBs. So, I'll build the B-2.

Testor's makes the B-2 kit and it's 72 scale. As far as kits go, it's a real dog! There's not much in the way of detail and what's there is for the most part chunky. Talk about horrible fit and most of it is due to bad enginneering. I recently bought this kit for the second time(!) and since they first released it, the fit of the wing panels has been tweaked so they fit better. However, there is still a huge gap all the way around on the leading and trailing edges. Once all the filling and sanding is done, the rest is a piece of cake. When all is said and done, you'll have a very pleasing model of the B-2.

OK... as soon as I find the plans back in my archieves, I'll let you know what bird it it is I'll be building. I remember it being an American bird in yellow, but as for the name of it, my memory isn't cooperating at the moment Smile [:)]
I do remember however that it will be powered by 2 Speed400 motors (brushless is still too expensive for my taste)
And I might (but don't hold me on that one) throw in a static B-2 as well, if I can find one (anyone knows who produces a kit for that bird ?) I mean besides Testor, since those kits are not available in Belgium.

Could be, it has two push-props, and looks like a wing without a plane Big Smile [:D]

You can put me down for it.

As for the videos, well, I'll see if I will be able to make a little movie when it's finished.

Yep, that's the one, but remember, RC is NOT scale modeling, at least not in the my class, you might call it semi scale modeling Smile [:)]
The beauty of it is ; that I will be building it from plans that came for free in some french RC magazine.
Since you immediately welcomed RC'ers in your initial post, I wander if you do RC yourself ? This is actually the first time I see someone welcoming an RC project in a GB here.
