cool! looking forward to it!!! hmmm... I may strip the decals off this P-26 I have been working on and use it for this build. I can't find early war decals for it in 1/32 and the ones that came with it were too old to use... so maybe 1/32 Japanese or German decals for it might work??? I'll see...

Im yerrible sorry to hear that Disapprove [V]

I hope your whole family makes a quick recovery. Its a shame we lose more and more WW2 vets every day, soon there wont be any (O NO!). My Grandfather flew B-17Fs and was shot down and 43, taken to Stalag Luft 17B. But hes in pretty good shape considering the messed up back he got from a guard.

Once again, very sorry Sad [:(]

Hey Chris - apologize for the long silence from me.. we got our Censored [censored] kicked by Hurricane Rita over here so I've not been on much... might end up being a spectator for this build until things settle down a bit but will hopefully be able to build something for it...

the irony of the tree falling on my modeling room is too much!!! yeah there's no real damage to the inside but it is HOT!!! so no plans to airbrush in it anytime soon...

Not too late to jump in on this am I? I have an idea- F4U with a Jumo 213 engine(FW-190D), reshaped canopy, lengthened fuesalage, replacing wing oil cooler intakes with 20mm canon fairings, and squared off tail. Add to that a nice late war mottled camouflage. Will be done in 1/72, practice for me.

WIP:
Trying to get my hobby stuff sorted - just moved and still unpacking.

hmmm... getting an idea Chris.. I'm not sure if I will go for it or not... I am doing a 1/48 Bf110 right now and am in the painting stages... I may just break down and put US markings on it... I don't have any UK markings big or small enough for the wings/fuselage... just a thought... I saw a pic of one online with German markings and it looked SO good... but this might be nice...

I'll let ya know!

ok I resisted and decided to stick with the standard German nightfighter decals for this one.,..

I do have a Revell A6M2 ---edit--- (urr.. I meant A6M5) though... a perfect target for the extra USN decals I have in the stash... I think that will be my build!!!

i think a USN Zeke would look pretty cool tom. i myself have had little time to work on my corsair i have been busy with the paintjobs on my buffalo for the midway build and my Dr1 for the flying circus build

same here Chris... I have a Bf-110 nightfighter, a F3F-2 and a P-51 of 201 escuadron de la Fuerza Aerea Mexicana all going at once... but this Revell kit is like 15 pieces so I don't see it being a show stopper... I guess I need to do it in then tri-color scheme for the time period an A6M5 would be active...

I still want to do a type 11 in the blue-gray over white scheme though... like that Buffalo you are doing for the Midway build.....

---edit--- that should be a P-47 of the 201st... the P-51 I am doing is for the Tuskegee airmen GB...

Cool!  I haven't had time to do anything yet but as of tomorrow they are coming to fix my roof and one of my biggest obstacles I have been working on is out of the way!!!  I think I am sticking with the A6M5...  all over gloss sea blue with US markings...
