That's OK- the fun is in giving the kit. I can bet that whatever kit you give- you've never given it to that person before! Wink [;)]

Getting a kit you already have is actually cool, because then you can do a different camo scheme, unit markings etc.  I would love that! Smile [:)]

Count me in. Sounds great. My Dad flew home to Pennsylvania from England aboard a P-61 in '45. Not bad, a Boatswain's Mate bumping a Captain huh? I loved to hear him tell that one.

I've updated the participants list in the first post by adding an "*" by the names that I DO have contact information for. If you've not sent me your contact ino, you can go ahead and start sending that so we don't have a mad rush at the end. You can PM me or email me directly at jonbius@gmail.com.

Again- thanks SO MUCH to everyone who is participating. We're up to 20 folks now, so this should be quite fun.

Hey Jon, just seen this GB and think it's a great idea and a great way to bring us all closer together in this hobby. If it's not too late I would like to join.

Looking forward to know the person I have to send the gift and to open my gift on Dec.25th!

A proposal for the GB; it's basically the same, just adds a little winter feel:

Yeah- it's gonna be fun! Smile [:)] Once the sign-up deadline has passed (Oct. 31st), I'll send out everyone's recipient shortly thereafter.

A few notes to all:
  • Keep in mind, just to keep it fun, don't reveal who your Santa or your recipient is until Christmas Day, so that we can all share in the surprise!
  • If you're palnning to order from a mail order company and have it sent directly to your recipient (great way to save on overseas shipping!) then let me know when you make the order, and I'll notify the recipeint to not open the package! (It would still be nice to mail a card, though.)
  • A few folks have suggested sending along other stuff- photos of the family, where you live, etc. That would be great- it's exactly the point of the GB. The models are kinda secondary- it's the fun, friendship and connections that will count in the long run.

Forgot to tell you an Italian on-line store. The "best" is www.misterkit.it; it's partially translated to English and has more choice on aircraft.

11 days left to get in on the Secret Santa fun!

For those already in, please check the list of names in the first post of this thread. If you don't see an "*" by your name, it means I don't have your address, or I forgot to note that I do. In either case- contact me.

One other note. I'll put up several reminders and try to contact everyone, but if I do not have your address in time to send it out to a "Santa", you'll be "left out in the cold" so to speak.

Again- thanks to all who will be participating, and thanks for all the encouragement and support!
