All the paints used are either Tamiya acrylics or the Tamiya rattle cans.

This is not my first project, but it has been a while since I've done some modelling.

PC and LP,

Nice work on the 1 to 1 two legged model.  He is real cute and the panel lines seem pretty realistic as well as the paint job.

Let me add my congratulations to the new modeler, Mom & Dad.  My prayers are certainly with you for the immediate medical problem and for your future as a family.  Best of everything to all of you.

Congratulations to Pink Chevelle for completing her first model.  He is a one to one scale and lifted off the launch pad at 5 pounds 5 ounces.  I hope she didn't break a bottle of champagne over his bow, but he was christened "Aiden William".  Some guy by the name of "The Last Priest" had something to do with the keel laying function.  AD had some medical difficulties and had to return to the hospital, but we are all hoping for the best.

Congrats.  My cousin's boy was married 7-7, with his little boy acting as ringbearer. (Landon wasn't to happy about walking imto a room full of strangers and leaving his mama so his grandpa had to carry him. )

You've been busy doing lots of things. Congrats, good job and lots of luck

Ditto Yardbird's comments.  How is the two legged model building project progressing?

Alright, alright, he wins, here is some pictures of my airbrush job on the body of my car. I am airbrushing out doors, so there is plenty of ventilation, no worries!

I want to do a model where I can practice using an airbrush, so I picked one of Hubby's old Airfix/MPC F-4 Phantoms.  It has parts to make it into one of several different models.  I plan to do a C model from the Texas ANG.  Thanks for the remarks about my F-89.

Miss G- once we were both in a GB for the SAC which got abandoned. I've invested a bunch of time in a semi scratchbuilt/ really heavy kitbash C-54 for that one that I want to finish. You were showing some F-84s. Can we renew this deal and finish? Post in that GB if you can.

I am in awe of your NMF skills.

So pinkchevelle says she wants to have more progress to show everybody before she posts new pictures but I gotta come on here and speak for her. She got back to work on the chevelle and was able to strip off the old paint with super clean, worked really well. She also now has repainted everything that was stripped with the airbrush and it looks awsome! only a couple of small mishaps stemming from her forgetting there was no top on the paint cup and losing the everything inside but other than that everything went off without a hitch.

I have primered my body and seats, getting ready to airbrush the white color tomorrow. Oh, and me and LastPriest were married this morning! My cat also knocked my chassis off the self the other day and the radiator and battery fell off so I have to redo them. Bad Kitty.

I'm still plugging along.  Mom's been sick and I've been doing most of the work on the chicks. I've got 8 bantam chicks and a guinea chick in the next room.  Scratchbuilding the prop shafts at the moment and working on the superstructure.

Hey, where is everyone?  I haven't had time to do any modeling lately, so the Phantom is still sleeping in it's box.

Ok, I have finally gone to the store to get the stuff I need to remove the paint from my car (that I messedup so grandly). Now I am trying to figure out exactly how I am to use this "Super Clean" and then I will do that. Well off to my doctors appointment ladies, wish me luck!

I found them. I found them. I found them.  My missing sprues were rescued from the grasp of the Carpet Monster's foul Lieutenant, the Dust Ruffle, when I was retrieveing my book stamp from behind the bed where the kittens had hidden it.  Just in time. I go home for the summer day after tomm.

Go for it.  You can do it.  Those Airfix Phantom kits are great for practice anyway.  They don't have a lot of nit pickin' detail to worry about.  Just do the basic building and then fire away with the airbrush.

I have been looking through hubby's stash of kits and decals trying to decide what will be my next project. I want to do another ANG plane and found a sheet of markings for an F4C from a Texas unit that is gloss gray. I was born and raised in Texas. The only 1/72 C model Phantoms he has are three of the old Airfix kits. Hubby says they have several scale fidelity issues and pointed them out to me, but I will probably build one of them anyway, just for the experience. The three planes I have done so far were all with aerosol cans and I need to try something for an airbrush. That scares me.  Confused [%-)]
