Knights of the Sky WWI GB The End
Posted by Daywalker on Thursday, May 24, 2007 11:35 AM

I'm thinking of starting a WWI GB that will run from October 1st 2007 until December 31st 2008.  So far, there a few of us interested in it (mostly newbies), so if you are too, drop a reply and hopefully there will be a bunch of us!

Here is the GB badge courtesy of Wing Nut (Thanks Marc!):

There are two rules for the GB, here they are:

1.) Any aircraft, any scale that served in any air force between 1914 and 1918 is eligible.

2.) Everyone will have fun!

That's it, pretty simple.  Look forward to hearing from you!

I'd like to give this one a shot as well, but have no idea what to build.  I'm leaning towards a Fokker D7 or Albatros D5.  Cool [8D]

Just need to see what's out there and pick up a kit.

i just may have too Big Smile [:D]

Roy

PS: I will be checking out Hobby Lobby to see if they have Tamiya's Spitfire Mk1 and any WW1 kits.  From what Mike said I most likely go with an Eduard's kit.

Marc, Scott- Sign - Welcome [#welcome]

Glad to have both of you aboard!

Mike- Not sure what I am going to get yet, but hopefully will be able to find one of the Eduard kits you recommend.  If not, I'll probably order one this weekend.  At least it gives me an excuse to go to the LHS today! Propeller [8-] Also, I'm counting on you to post some pics of your AMAZING WWI aircraft that I have seen in other posts to inspire all of us!  Truly, that is why I want to build one after seeing yours.

I'm in too.  Like I said I have several of the Revell Camels for a dio but I know my LHS has some of the Eduard kits so I may grab one of those.  A dio might be too much for a GB.

Sign - Off Topic!! [#offtopic]  Just got back from Hobby Lobby, looking for my Spitfire and possibly a biplane.  Picked up a Accurate Miniatures SBD-3 battle of midway 1/48 for 50% off.  The box was opened so I asked if I could get half off and bang!  Done deal, I paid $18.95 for the kit.

So, will that be our GB badge?
