M107, nice build. Even though the kit has some issues, it's still a fun build. I like your subtle weathering also.

I took a shot at building the unit pictured in just about every reference book on the M48 and most Vietnam conflict books as well, still need to put it on a base. Lots of red dirt/mud, pretty much the same colors you've used.

@hans von hammer :ah,the red color that you mean "rust" on the track is red soil(you can see it at tropical countries).I mixed tamiya flat earth and buff together to paint the track.The rust on wheel and whole the tank are made from pastel

Just one thing: You've got rusted rubber... The track pads, that is.. The only exposed steel are the pins, connectors, and guide teeth.. That's rubber on the inside and behind the "chevrons"...

Congrats on a cool looking tank! This model--the old Monogram one, in fact--was my first model too, and was the one that "started the fiire" so to speak.

You are heading in the right direction with those fenders. The ones on the M48s and M60s never lasted in the field. nice work.

All told, it's quite good, especially for a newbie. The one piece that jumps out at me, not having as intimate knowledge of tanks ar Arty, is the duffle on the rack. The seam is still there and visible and the tie is laying unnaturally. For me, on this monitor, it looks like you got a lot of sublte coloration on the paint job.

Remember, if the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

M107 - Hummm...I like that name.....anyway....for a newbie it is nice work and welcome to the forums. Have no fear and watch some of the others here...you will pick up some good tips.

I would look more for modulation of the OD color. Monotone colors can make a model look DARK. Either by use of shading or washes you need to add depth.....Especially with OD. The weather is a great start.

You did a good job on it. Nice weathering and the construction looks good. Here is the unwanted critical look part though...You could do a couple small things to make it look better. By painting the headlights and tail light, it would bring life to it and only take a second. As a note, only the upper left rear light should be red, the rest are black slits as part of the blackout drive system. Likewise, the inner front lights should be black as well; IR drive lights. Keep up the good work.

Hello ,again one more time :),here is my M48A3 in vietnam war,an opened kit I bought from ebay so some parts are missing,I made it when I just come to modelling about 1 month :) ,so there're a lot of mistakes but it's ok,I wont fix or repair anything .because there's a big lesson for a newbie :)
