Thats a beauty. Come on over and look at the work on the Reggia Aeronautica GB. Although it's for aircraft, also look at Stormo magazines site, it's a treasure trove of color info, translation of terms and history. I would imagine a similar site(s) exist for the Army.

I really like these vehicles Man, great choice~~And you spared no expense~~Not a cheap set-up we are look'in at folks ~ I gotta say I like the look of those figures too. You're gunna do great with them ,  I betcha.

~Question ~ Are you planning to have the cannon mounted like on the boxart? I kinda like the look of these as pure transport, but heavy with fuel & water stowage. With a  full crew, it's alot going on, right?  How bout a desert base?   Enough questions?                  Sorry.... It's   ......Very exciting

Adam:  LOL!  I am not decided on the gun position as of yet but I like the ideal of all the figures reacting to an overhead menace.  I too like how they look all pointed forward.

I ordered a North African Well and some Italian Fuel drums from Victoria Model this evening so can you say Oasis!  I need to find some good tutorials on making Palm Trees!

I might throw together some of my DAK figures and a DML 6207 PZ.1 Ausf B Dak version and have a little Axis gathering at the waterhole.

Road Warrior meets Aliens APC.  I told you already that this vehicle totally rocks!

Hi Edmund, Just want to let you know that that kit is a piece of crap. Be careful. the resin engine does not fit properly. In fact none of the resin parts fit too well, its like two different kits nailed together in one box. I built one a couple of years ago and after competition where it got a bronze or something I threw the kit the medal and the cert in the bin.

Hope you enjoy this build more than I did.

Oh, Yeah be careful with the fit of parts as the basis of the kit is the armoured car.

Marc the Alarmii! box came with three figures with two heads a piece and stowage and equipment which is fantastic.  The differnce in quality between them and the included kit resin figures is startling.  I will do my best to improve them but if I cannotmake them presentable I will leave them off.

Hey Terry I am sorry it was not what you expected.  The end result is fantastic though! Congrats and if bin means garbage can whcih I beleive it does that's just sad

I was thinking I might not even use the engine because I want the Italian flag across the back and the vehcile and figures in motion responding to a precieved threat is the current ideal.

I am also interested right now in these types of vehicles; I have the re-issued Tamiy LRDG Chevy, which now includes the Italian 20mm flak gun...Also getting some new resin figs for it...

I will be tuning in regularly to this one...this vehicle has got to be one of the most unuusual looking ones of WW2...!

I probably don't have to ask but, ANYBODY building the LRDG Chevy  has the new (November '09) Model Military International I hope. The "desert gun truck" is the cover story, (killer) feature article/build by the editor, and is backed-up by a thorough and interesting backstory with color plates on the vehicle and the pink paint schemes....don't make a move without it!

Oh and Edmond...once again... Freakin COOL stack of stuff there.....very exciting

Thats a fantasic review / step by step /  reference you found there Edmond ! Imagine if we found one that good for every kit we built.  The sprues don't make it look scary at all...but the SBS kinda does....well.....alot of challenges anyways (wouldn't want it any other way) ~~ Also on the bottom of the page there ~~~ alot of great articles for how-to's for the armour modeller or (the armor modeler even!)  ~~Good job locating that

MMIR is my favorite and I subscribe to Finescale and Scale Military Modeller International whcih both came in the mail today! Red Letter Day!

I have read MMI before and it is a great mag as well.

LOL! I managed to accomplish Steps 1-5 today and because I have never built a wheeled vehicle before I was very anal to insure the frame was straight and level so that the wheels wudl sit level.  I am very impressed with the kit so far.  Keepign my fingers crossed!

~Good start ~ You're already ahead of the dude on StepByStep with the warped chassis to deal with.

MMIR is also excellent (better/funnier with Pat as editor)but, I'm sure you can agree, it's hard to justify subscribing to EVERY model magazine, even if we'd like to.

 Never seen SMMI yet.

I like the 'feel' and consistancy of quality I see in MMI, so it tops my list.

 2nd is MM, it's near as good, just not quite as consistant, but they experiment more.

 ~ FSM  was more interesting as I re-entered the hobby, I think that's in some ways it's best thing, I don't find it too mind-blowing but it has the best total overview of modeling, and I value that.
