Thanks to everyone for the kind comments! I am so glad that you like it. It is the first of, hopefully, many more. (I have to say that every one of the builds going on over in the Steel Cats GB is quite impressive... you've seen a few here.)

Blitzwing - The kit itself came with DS (one piece) tracks. I opted to use Friul individual links. On the advice of others in this forum, I used dress pins to assemble the links. If you look closely at the right side you can see the oversized heads for the pins. If I was really insane, I would have made these more to scale. I thought they looked "close enough"... Maybe on a future build...

ghost180 - thanks! Of course we all try to hit all the details... I have to stop looking at the digital pics cuz I keep finding more that needs to be remedied! Wink

T26E4 - Yeah, never been a big fan of the "attacked by a pickaxe" look. I have a hard time believing that these things had either that much chipping or that much rust on them - given their service life.

doog - I really appreciate the compliments! The spare links are also Friul leftovers... the burnishing of the links on the right side just didn't "take" as well for some reason... I figured they just looked kinda dusty. If they keep fading out, I may have to do something, but for now I'm just gonna leave it.

Ben - Geez man... humbling words given the company we are in over there... Embarrassed Thanks though. I think all of the builds are excellent. Like you, this is my best effort to date. I hope to keep improving. I keep waiting for the next dud... LOL. It was also a pleasure helping you out with ref materials. I love doing that stuff!! Yes

What an outstanding piece of work. The weathering and chipping on the muzzle really shows that no detail went unattended to.

Really outstanding! Man, the talent on this site is impressive lately! I can't see anything to comment on, but for the spare tracks which look a tad "gray"--but that may be the lighting.

All in all, impressive!

What everyone said Dave. That is a beauty of a build and I love the weathering on the running gear. It was a pleasure to see it all come together.

Very nice work all around on this one, just the right balance and the camo scheme is a nice choice also. Yes

Agreed about the level of weathering -- chips not overdone like someone attcked it with a pickaxe.  Great!

Bravo!  Continue w/the good work!  More please

Hi Dave,

Personally, I think this was one of the best builds that has come out of 'Steel Cats GB' so far Beer

Perfect weathering, lovely chipping and a cracking paintjob.

I love that chipping effect you've obtained on the Muzzle. A great build all round Yes

You helped me a lot during my Tiger build for the Steel Cats so thanks for that too.

I'm itching to see what Andy Deafpanzer produces now!

I think that it a great looking Panther you built there. Just one question though. Are those one piece tracks or individual link ones?

Well, this is my first time posting my work to the Armor section. I figured I'd follow suit since SMJModeller, Wing nut and Hinsky all posted their finished GB work here. I guess some don't wander into the GB netherlands?

OK - This is Cyber Hobby's Panther A (Late) Black Knight Series. I've added quite a few AM goodies to go "all out" for my first GB.

ATAK zimmerit, RB Barrel, Karaya Tow Cables, Friul Tracks, Aber MG34

The main color scheme was painted with Tamiya acrylics. Weathering was done with MiG filters/pigments, oils, the usual stuff. Let me know if you have any questions on how something specific was accomplished. Hope you enjoy... it was a blast building it, and the group over there in Steel Cats is great. It was definitely a nice way to "get my feet wet," so to speak.

Any comments are welcome. I'm always game for improvement.
