And a new Tamiya one as well. Even those of us who don't do WW1 armour are interested.

Those Takom ones do look very nice. Now we just need an A7V.

That indeed fills a gap long wished for by modelers. I've always liked the Whippet myself. Probably will pass on them, but I look forward to all the new dio possibilities this presents.

Yes, they are certainly outside the scope of my collection as well... Unless I find one at a cut rate price (I know they will not be cheap), I will be passing as well for those reasons. But I sure do look forward to seeing them built up at the clubs I belong to. I know that several guys there will be building them.

I may have to do one. Just thinking of all those rivets gives me a warm fuzzy feeling.....

No lie, Carlos---it's hard to keep up on all the new things coming out! I've still got to get the French St Chamond!

I'll be building one of the MkIV's for sure---male and female both! I can't wait!

There is just too much good stuff coming out lately Karl... Even though these are not my cup of tea, I am quite happy to see these WWI tanks being kitted finally. They are so important to the history of armor!

I've been wanting to build one of these, but all I have is the Emhar "Female" and with all its reported issues, I wasn't too pumped up to give it a go!  Now I'm stoked!!

I'm not a World War 1 person as you can tell by my name. I'm wondering, what is the difference between the "male" and "female" tank?

I think the male only has MG's and the female has cannon. But I am not 100% sure.

That is the basic distinction, one has cannon, and one does not. Although I do not recall which is which. And IIRC, there was also the "hermaphrodite" version which had cannon & MGs.

Male=cannon like a dude has a "big gun" (use your imagination)

Female=machine guns only, i.e. no big guns

I'm not so excited about this one. It looks more or less the same as MK.V from Interus but probably costs a lot more.

A definite must for any historian or tank enthusiast!

What a great time to be a modeller knowing most 'theme' events will reflect the 100 years sense the great war. Surly a Whippet is to follow along with figures and artillery.
