Posted by lando452 on Sunday, September 21, 2014 12:09 AM

does anyone know whats a good 1/35 scale Jagdpanther late model with side skirts and zimmerit? Looking for one with already built in zimmerit or one I can add already made zimmerit to.

Yea right $215.

How about the good ole Tamiya with AM  zimmerit. Or get a zimm kit and make your own.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Both good suggestions. I don't think you will find a G2 kit with zimm already on as the G2 wasn't covered in it as far as I know. I can't find exact dates for production, but I believe the G2 entered service after Sept 44 and I can't find any images of a G2 with Zimm.

Late model Jagd's didn't really have Zimm. Mostly the early ones had it. You might take a chance and build a hybrid early hull with an upgunned late mantlet? That way you'd have a zimm coating with the later identifying characteristics, but there's also the exhausts and rear deck details to consider. Could get complicated and pricey?

Not only did they have Zimm, they should not be seen without it. As for side skirts, I am sure they could carry them, but photo's of early versions with them seem to be hard to find, most seem to be mid or late productions. You can see from this vehicle it has the welded on matlet and the stowage further forward, but has the 2 piece barrel.

Dragon kit 6494 gives you these options and is pre Zimmed. But, it doesn't seem to come with the skirts, these may have to be AM.
