I believe it's a mechanical adjustment? this way they could compensate for slack (guessing since i don't know but it makes sense in my head...lol)

I haven't forgotten about this build, i have 2 others going atm as well. I will work on this some today :)

That rod protruding to the rear is an idler adjuster.  By twisting the rod, it adds/reduces tension to the track by moving in/out the idler wheel.

Hey Roy was that thing adjusted by greasing it or was it a mechanical adjustment. Just curious.

Great progress here. Not much of an armor builder but do like 250's.

I've known about it Bish since the Pak 37 kit I have has that issue and I have a pair of Tamiya Pak 37 kits in the stash so the extra boxes will work and I also have brass 37mm Pak37 ammo in my footlocker/parts box. And when I actually do both my Dragon Pak37 and 250/10 I can use the ammo and boxes from those and have extra ammo for my 251/7 Ausf D 3in1 kit.

Some nice work there Tiger.

Mike, nice info there, I didn't know that about the Dragon kit, will have to sort that before I build mine.

Thanks for the heads up Mike, i did not realize that, I know a lot about armor but half tracks elude me...lol I just think they look cool.

I should have more pics up tonight, i realize my LED work light made the painting way darker and shiny than it actually is so i'm gonna use a regular light for pics

I would try to pick up a Tamiya Pak37 kit if I was you Tiger EP1 the ammo boxes and ammo for the Dragon Pak37 are all wrongand belong to the 2.8cm sPzB 41 AT gun. The ones in the Tamiya kit are the correct 37mm caliber and the ammo box is correct.

Ok so here are some quick updated pics i took with my phone

What i have completed so far:

It called for field grey which i know is a grey/green. I am trying different greys i have here left is no paint, middle is tamiya German grey and the interior is painted with a medium grey acrylic (which is closer to correct?)

the bench is painted brown with a black wash (i only had nutmeg brown avail but it looks good, pic makes it more red than it is.)

OH and while i was at the LHS i snagged this gem for 35 bucks:

It came with the verlinden PE/Resin upgrade kit free

I look forward to building it :D

More pics tonight!

Greetings!

First off has anyone built this kit that could give me some pointers?

I figured i would start a build thread here for this little guy in got today at my LHS. Armor is something im familiar with and i always wanted to build a half-track so this fit the bill :)

Now i love Dragon models they are great quality and detailed well. The instructions for this are in color which threw me off...lol but there already a part i am a bit off on.

The suspension in the pic shows that they all look level and thats fine, its actually the rear most axle piece i am confused on as none of my models so far have had those to pieces (axle and whatever the rear facing rod is)

Is that correct? its hard to see even with the great instructions given.

I will get progress pics up tomorrow :D

Thanks!
